Deepika Padukone is undeniably a powerhouse woman and a superb actress. When she made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, little did anyone know that 10 years down the line, she would achieve so much. Among her many milestones, there is one which would be the most important of all. We are talking about Time’s 100 Most Influential People In The World. Yes, Deepika Padukone has been included in the esteemed list this year. And not just that. She is also the only Indian actor to have made it to the list.
Last night when Deepika shared the big news by sharing it on her Instagram handle, the spree of congratulatory comments couldn’t stop. Deepika captioned the pics that she posted, “what an absolute honour!” One of the first comments on her post came from boyfriend, Ranveer Singh who wrote, “Queen”. Awww! That’s so sweet, isn’t it? In 2017, Deepika made her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel starrer, xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The film opened doors for her international recognition which eventually gained her a global audience. Perhaps that’s the reason that her last film, Padmaavat, ran so well at the box office internationally.
Speaking of Vin Diesel, Deepika shared another post which is a profile write-up penned down by Vin himself which he wrote for the Time magazine. This is what he wrote:
Coming back to Deepika and Ranveer, their wedding rumours have been floating around for quite some time now. Recently, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, when asked about the same, Deepika replied, “Really, I don’t know where that’s coming from. But, yes, of course, these are things I think about. I try and create a work and life balance so as much as I consumed by my work at the moment, these things are on my mind. Before this interview, a report on SpotboyE suggested that Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding would take place in Mumbai. It was reported, “Ranveer and Deepika wanted a destination wedding, but, the actor’s parents are keen it takes place in Mumbai. Reason? Most of Singh family’s relatives live in Mumbai and Delhi and they do not want them to miss out on the celebrations. The wedding will take place as per South Indian rituals and high profile venues such as Taj Lands End, Four Seasons and St Regis are being considered as the venue. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a grand reception.”
Well, because there has been no official announcement, we can’t be sure as to when Deepika and Ranveer will walk down the aisle. But surely, they make an adorable couple and never fail to show a mutual admiration for each other publicly.
