Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma reportedly have a cold war going on between them. However, once, DP left Anushka surprised by a sudden kiss on her cheek in front of the paps.
Anushka Sharma is one of the popular actresses of Bollywood. She prefers to stay away from the limelight and avoids Bollywood parties as much as possible. On the work front, Anushka has been on a break since 2018 and was last seen in Zero. Now, her fans have been waiting for her to make a comeback with her film, Chakda Xpress, but the release date is not known yet.
Anushka Sharma is known to be a private person. However, her equation with Deepika Padukone has often grabbed many eyeballs. Though the duo might not be the best of friends, they often shower love and support on one another. Back in 2015, when Anushka’s film, NH10 had released, Anushka hosted a success bash in Mumbai. In a video doing rounds on social media, Deepika was seen posing with Anushka at the event.
However, out of the blue, Deepika suddenly planted a kiss on Anushka's cheek, leaving her surprised. Soon after that, Anushka took a step back and looked at Deepika in utter shock, as she was unable to process what the Om Shanti Om actress was up to. Amused by Deepika's unusual gesture, Anushka asked:
“What are you doing?”
Listening to Anushka's response, Deepika also cracked up. After the surprise gesture of love, Anushka and Deepika posed for the cameras. Soon after the video went viral on Reddit, netizens flooded the comment section to react to it. A user penned, "This is why Deepika and Ranveer are made for each other." Another commented, "Lmao, Anushka got uncomfortable."

In a 2013 interview with the Hindustan Times, Anushka Sharma opened up about the rumours of the 'cold war' between her and Deepika Padukone. The actress compared the rumours to the 'dominos effect' and called them all cooked-up stories and nothing else. Refuting the claims of her rivalry with Deepika, Anushka elaborated:
“I have no problems with Deepika or anyone. I am here to work and not indulge into fights. I am happy with what I am doing and she would happy with her life. And all reports around us are false. It’s all like a dominos effect; just to cook up a story… there will be a series of lies to gossip about me. So basically its wrong the way women are perceived in this industry.”
Anushka Sharma is happily married to Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli, and they have two children, Vamika and Akaay. There are rumours that Anushka and Virat, along with their kids, have moved to London and have settled there. On the other hand, Deepika Padukone exchanged wedding vows with Ranveer Singh after dating for a few years. The duo embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their baby girl on September 8, 2024.
