Did you know Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were once so engrossed in a kissing scene that when a brick entered through the window pane, they were not aware?
The Bollywood industry has seen many reel-life pairs turn into real-life couples. One such power couple is Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who are celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary on November 14, 2024. The pair has delivered blockbuster movies and have been one of the biggest stars in the country. However, did you know it was on the sets of Koffee With Karan Season 8, that the couple game together and for the first time revealed an exciting love anecdote, from the sets of their film, Ram Leela?
It is known that Ranveer and Deepika's love bloomed on the sets of Ram Leela. However did you know that they were once so lost in their liplock scene, that they did not even realise that a brick had entered through the window. Ranveer, had talked about the same to Karan Johar, on his chat show Koffee With Karan Season 8. In his words:
"Mr Bhansali likes to shoot things as real as possible. A brick has come through the window. We are oblivious to the brick coming through the window and we are still in it. We didn't realise."
The actor further revealed on the chat show that he was in a long-term relationship before Deepika entered his life. She was single for a while and had got Ram Leela after Kareena Kapoor Khan walked out of the movie. Ranveer had admitted:
"Six months in, I knew she was the one. Everybody was watching how the love was in the air! And I feel like it may have translated in the film also."
Ranveer also recollected when he was at Sanjay's home, sitting close to Deepika. They had crab for lunch and a small piece of the crab meat was stuck in her teeth. The actor had told DP that something was stuck in her teeth, so she told him to clean it. It was at that time when a spark of love arose, in the heart and mind of the Singham Again actor.
Deepika had also told Karan Johar in the show that when they both started dating one another, they were allowed to see other people. However, they would always gravitate back to each other. She was committed to him, in her mind. It was in 2012 when they started dating and in 2015 they got engaged. They kept it a secret, from the entire world for three whole years. Deepika quipped:
"Until he proposed to me, there was no commitment as such."
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married on November 14, 2018, at Lake Como, Italy. The duo has become parents to Dua Padukone and are on cloud nine. To mark their sixth anniversary, the actor, had posted an array of pictures depicting Deepika's varied moods.
