Born to liquor baron, Vijay Mallya and his wife, Samira Tyabjee Mallya, Sidhartha Mallya is an American actor and model. He has also worked as the director of the IPL cricket team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, owned by his father. He was also one of the directors of the football club, Mohun Bagan.
Apart from his professional life, Sidhartha has often grabbed the limelight for his affairs and flings with some of the leading names in Bollywood. Among all the actresses, Sid Mallya's most talked-about affair was with Deepika Padukone. Sidhartha and Deepika were once head-over-heels in love. Their relationship gained significant attention when they were frequently spotted together at IPL matches, social events, and dinner dates.
Despite their frequent appearances together, Deepika and Sidhartha never announced that they were dating. However, soon their relationship took a tumultuous turn, leading to their public spat. Soon, the duo started washing their dirty linen in public with shocking accusations on each other.

Once Sidhartha Mallya called Deepika Padukone a ‘crazy female’ and accused her of not returning his expensive gifts. Directing hitting his accusations on Deepika, Sidhartha once stated:
“Deepika is a crazy female; I told her that I’ll return her money once dad clears his debts and the government sets him free, but she was just not ready to settle down. She has forgotten the time I gifted her with expensive diamonds, luxurious bags, have spent huge on her vacations and hosted parties for her friends on her behalf.”
In response to Sidhartha Mallya’s accusation, Deepika revealed that she tried a lot to make the relationship work, but Sidhartha’s behaviour had turned ‘cheap’. Sharing an incident from their dating period which left her embarrassed, the actress shared:
“I tried hard to make the relationship work, but his behaviour in recent times has been disgusting. The last time we met on a dinner date, he asked me to pay the bill. That was so embarrassing for me.”
Later, Deepika confided and revealed the reason behind her breakup with Sidhartha Mallya in an interview with The Unreal Times and shared:
“So cheap yaa! First he insisted we travel by auto instead of the Merc. Then when I asked him for a dress, he took me to a low end bazaar with an end-of-season sale offer and bargained like crazy for the one top he finally bought; I was so embarrassed! Asking me to pick up the tab after our meal at the Taj was the last straw!”
During the 2013 IPL match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Kolkata Knight Riders, Sidharth Mallya and his ladylove, Deepika Padukone, were seen in the stands cheering for RCB. When RCB thrashed KKR, Sidhartha caught hold of Deepika and planted a full-mouthed kiss. The couple’s lip-lock moment was captured by the cameras present on the ground.

Post their breakup, Sidhartha Mallya and Deepika Padukone were never spotted together. Fast-forward to today: Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh in 2018. When Deepika shared her wedding invitation card, Sidhartha Mallya’s reaction caught everyone’s attention. He dropped a kiss emoji in the comment section and expressed his happiness for his ex-girlfriend, Deepika.
In November 2023, Sidhartha Mallya took to his Instagram handle and announced the news of his engagement. He shared two pictures with his ladylove, Jasmine from their Halloween party. In one of the pictures, Sidhartha was seen kneeling down as he proposed to Jasmine. In June 2024, Sidhartha announced the news of his intimate wedding with his fiancée, Jasmine and also gave a glimpse of their pre-wedding ceremony.
