Deepika kickstarted the wedding celebration with a puja and Oh Boy, she radiated in a simple orange suit from her favourite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. However, the winner of her look was a pair of oversized earrings styled by Shaleena Nathani. If you are a traditional bride than this look is a must-have for your own pre-wedding celebrations.
Deepika ditched a fusion outfit and opted for a more royal look for the traditional mehendi ceremony. The actress donned a blush pink lehenga again from Sabyasachi Mukherjee and it was a sight to behold. The outfit featured a thread work detailing with a matching half tucked dupatta on the head and a red shawl to add a pop of colour. She accentuated her look with a satlada haar and a dazzling pair of earrings. (Also Read: This Is What Ranveer Singh's Father Said To His Bahu Deepika Padukone Right After The Wedding)
Deepika turned a South Indian bride for Konkani wedding. The minimalistic red and golden silk saree was a gift by her mother Ujjala Padukone. As per the tradition from Bengaluru based brand called Angadi Galleria and was modified a little by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She added a traditional touch to her look with a statement matha patti and matching choker neckpiece. However, it was her subtle, yet classy makeup look that balanced out her ensemble.
Deepika’s traditional red lehenga made us fall in love with the deep red hue again. She looked no less than a royalty exuding the old-world charm in a beautiful gota patti lehenga. Fun fact – she didn’t shy away from creating new trends like the one with a personalised dupatta that states ‘Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava’ on the border which means stay happily married forever. So, don’t forget to add your personal touch to your outfit as you get married only once. For the first reception party in Banglore, Deepika showed off her new bride side with a gorgeous golden saree gifted by her mother from the House of Angadi. She added a pop of colour with a stunning emerald choker layered with a pearl haar. Although she looked quite like Anushka Sharma who was also styled by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her Delhi Reception. The look was completed with centre-parted hair adorned with gajra and red sindoor.
Ranveer Singh’s sister Ritika Bhavnani organized a post-wedding celebration party for the newly married couple. And we couldn’t take our eyes off Deepika’s gorgeous ensemble and as rightly said by Ranveer, she looked nothing less than Frieda Kahlo in Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s floral red lehenga. And more than her outfit it was her unconventional hairstyle with a floral tiara and bold makeup that stole the limelight.
However, she gave bridal goals as she soon changed her outfit to a comfier one for the after-party hours. She picked a pantsuit featuring a velvet jacket with a pair of pants and kept the makeup bold that proved she is a bona fide fashionista. For her second wedding reception, Deepika’s look was inspired by Pakistani brides with a long veil on the head with chikankari details. The actress trusted Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla who chose a chikankari ivory and gold saree with a long dupatta on the head for her. The ensemble was completed with a pair of oversized pearl earrings and jadau necklace. *GORGEOUS*
Another much-talked look that raised all the eyebrows and became our editor’s favourite choice was her third reception outfit. Deepika slayed in Zuhair Murad red gown with the longest trail and the side slit adding glam quotient to her look. She finished her look with bold makeup - smokey eyes and nude lips.
As much as we loved her reception look it was the after party look that made more headlines. To enjoy the last festivity with her friends, Deepika quickly switched from heels to sneakers and ditched the long trail.
Phew, Deepika can totally write a book on how to nail your wedding looks and be the sassy bride!
