It was only a few days ago when reports have been rife that Deepika Padukone is all set to grace Met Gala 2024, thereby taking down the red carpet with her pregnancy glow. And now, we have come across the latest development of the same reports, which suggested something different. As per a recent report by Republic, Deepika will not grace the red carpet of the beauty exhibition, Met Gala 2024. A highly-placed source close to the actress also shared the reason behind the diva not attending the Met Gala 2024.

The source told the mentioned portal it's very normal for her fans to anticipate that Deepika Padukone would be a part of the Met Gala 2024, as she is one of India's biggest ambassadors of several brands. Sharing the reason behind the actress not being a part of the beauty exhibition, the source revealed that Deepika is currently busy shooting for her film, Singham 3 and Kalki 2898 AD, and both the two films coincide with this year's Met Gala, making the actress unavailable for the same. The source can be quoted as saying:
"Deepika Padukone has been a regular on the Met Gala Red Carpet. It is only natural for fans to anticipate her appearance at this year’s Met Gala, especially considering she is one of India’s biggest global brand ambassadors. However, Deepika is in the midst of filming for Singham 3, which is slated to release later this year, along with Kalki 2898 AD, which is slated to release in May, both of which coincide with this year’s Met Gala. She will, therefore, not be attending this year's event.”
For the unversed, the Met Gala will begin on May 6, 2024, and it will be hosted in New York City at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. If the reports are to be believed, this year's theme will be 'Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion'. However, earlier, Diet Sabya had revealed that Deepika Padukone's hairstylist cum manager spilt that the actress would be a part of the Met Gala 2024, and she would not be seen anywhere ahead of the same event.
For those who don't know, it was in February 2024, when Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced the 'good news' and revealed that the actress' due date is in September 2024. Soon after that, a report by BollywoodLife stated that the actress has been enjoying this most beautiful phase of her life and she is not taking up any work at that moment, thereby focusing on her mental and physical health.
