Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone's father, Prakash Padukone is in the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Across the nation, the situation has become grim because of the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic. Lockdown is being announced in many parts of the country because of the sudden surge in the cases. These difficult times have not even spared the celebrities and their families.

For those who don't know, Deepika Padukone is the daughter of former badminton player, Prakash Padukone. He is one of the most famous personalities and has emerged as a role model during his playing days in the 1970s and 1980s.
Recently, in an interview with the PTI, Vimal Kumar, who is a close friend of the Padukone family revealed that around 10 days back Deepika Padukone's father, Prakash Padukone along with his wife, Ujjala Padukone and their daughter, Anisha Padukone had developed the symptoms.

Vimal shared, "Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive." He also added, "They got themselves isolated but after a week Prakash's fever didn't come down, so last Saturday, he was admitted to a hospital here in Bengaluru."
Prakash Padukone's friend further revealed that the Padukone family is safe now and their symptoms are under control. Soon, Prakash Padukone will also be discharged from the hospital. For the uninitiated, the 65-year-old is the first Indian to win the prestigious All England Championships title in 1980.
