On Ranbir Kapoor's 42nd birthday, let's look back in time when his ex-flame, Deepika Padukone wanted to shower him with love, happiness and well wishes, but he demanded something else as a B'day gift.
Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, whose acting skills have left everyone going gaga over the years. The actor was last seen in the movie, Animal, and it's worth mentioning that his charisma left the audience screaming at the top of their lungs. Well, Ranbir turned 42 on September 28, 2024, and on this special occasion, he also announced his new professional venture. Well, let us go back in time when Ranbir talked about how he feels about his birthday and also gave his ex-girlfriend, Deepika an idea about the gifts she should give him.
It was back in 2015 when, during the trailer launch event of his then-upcoming movie, Tamasha, Ranbir Kapoor was asked about his birthdays. To this, the actor said that he doesn't believe in birthdays and this day actually makes him feel sad. The actor added that he was happy to work on his birthday. Ranbir can be quoted as saying:
"I don't believe in birthdays. It makes me feel sad. I know most people feel special on this day. But I am happy when I am working. It's great to do work."
While Ranbir Kapoor shared this, Deepika Padukone, who starred in Tamasha opposite the former in the lead role, interrupted him and asked what they all could do to make his birthday special. When Deepika was asked what gift she would like to give to Ranbir on his birthday, she said that the actor has everything. Thus, she would like to bestow him with good wishes, love, and happiness. In Deepika's words:
"He has everything, lots of good wishes, love and happiness to him."
In the same conversation, Imtiaz Ali, the director of Tamasha asked Deepika to gift Ranbir with cash. He said, "You should give him cash". Ranbir further replied that he would prefer a cheque over cash. The actor stated, "Cheque will also do". Ranbir was in a relationship with Katrina back in 2015. When asked if he would end the day with a family dinner along with Katrina, Ranbir mentioned:
"We have had lots of nice family dinners. My parents (Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh) are in India, they have come back from London."
Ranbir Kapoor's personal life has always been a topic of discussion. The actor was linked to several actresses, but his relationships with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone were the most talked about. Deepika reportedly caught Ranbir red-handed, and while appearing on KWK, she had also indirectly called him a 'cheater'. Cut to now, all of them are happily married to their respective partners.
Earlier, in an interview with Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapoor reacted to being called a 'cheater' in public. The actor said that he had dated two successful actresses, and it has become his identity for a large part of his life. He further added that he doesn't care about it at all as no one is familiar with the entire truth. Reacting to his 'cheater' tag, Ranbir remarked that he would never go in public and talk about someone like this as it's a very private thing, but if a person is happy to reveal all of these, then he also doesn't have any conflict with that person either.
