Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their 'good news' with their massive fanbase just a few hours ago. While rumours about Deepika's pregnancy were rife in the media for quite some time, until today, they had either denied or ignored them. But today, since their announcement, the entire social media is brimming with happiness and congratulatory messages for the to-be-parents. For the unversed, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in November 2018 after dating for quite some years. And now, they are counting days to hop on the next phase of their lives.
Amidst the overwhelming mood of the social media post Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's announcement, an old video of her is going viral on social media. In the not-so-long video, the actress looked gorgeous in a denim dress featuring ruffle sleeves and styled her look with subtle makeup and open tresses. She was being asked about the one wish she would definitely be doing before leaving for the heavenly abode. To this, she adorably expressed to have lots of babies and this prooved her love for the little ones. In Deepika's words:
"The one thing I have got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies. That's what I want to do."

A few hours ago, on February 29, 2024, Deepika and Ranveer collaboratively announced their 'good news' with their massive fanbase. They took to their respective IG handles and shared a cute picture post to announce the same. In the picture, we can spot tiny onesies, caps, shoes, balloons and everything in both blue and pink colours, reportedly as the parents are also unknown about their baby's gender. Atop the picture, the couple penned a note to reveal that their baby will arrive in this world in September 2024.
Earlier, when Deepika went to the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) red carpet, she had sparked rumours about her pregnancy. This was because she was seen hiding her midriff in her Sabyasachi saree while being papped over there. Soon, after that, a source close to the would-be-parents revealed to the magazine, The Week, that the actress is pregnant with her first child. The source further mentioned that the actress is in her second trimester. Following this, many other elated netizens started reacting to it.

Deepika and Ranveer are all set to become parents after being married for more than five years as of now. Thus, just like any other married couple, they were also quite a number of times asked about their family planning. Once, in an interview with a leading portal, Deepika talked about the same and mentioned her and her husband's plans to embrace parenthood. She had said:
"Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family."
