Popular television actress, Devoleena Bhattacharjee took to her Instagram account to share that she is pregnant with her first child with husband, Shanawaz Shaikh.
Popular television actress, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who rose to immense popularity with her role as 'Gopi Bahu' in Star Plus' popular show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, is pregnant with her first child. The actress, who tied the knot with her beau, Shanawaz Shaikh, in December 2022 in an intimate court wedding in Lonavala, announced the same through her social media.
On August 15, 2024, Devoleena took to her Instagram account and shared a series of pictures with her husband, Shanawaz, her family and friends. The actress radiated a pregnancy glow in a green-hued saree, which she paired with a matching coloured sleeveless blouse. To accessorise her look, she opted for a heavy necklace, dainty earrings, and a handful of red bangles.

In the first picture, Devoleena and Shanawaz sat beside one another and looked into each other's eyes. Meanwhile, the actress was seen holding a onesie with "You can stop asking now" printed on it, and her husband kept their furbaby on his lap. Sharing the pictures, Devoleena penned:
"Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life."
In the same post, Devoleena was seen posing with her mother-in-law, who was wearing a bluish salwar suit. In some other glimpses, the actress flaunted her brightest smile while she took photos with many of her friends and family members after the Panchamrit ritual was over.
For quite some time, there have been rumours that the Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress is expecting her first child. The reports of her pregnancy surfaced in the media when eagle-eyed netizens noticed her baby bump in one of her vacation pictures. Moreover, Devoleena's caption for the post also caught people's attention. She wrote:
"Embracing the journey, one step at a time. #AdventureAwaits."

Earlier, when reports about Devoleena’s pregnancy surfaced on social media, she shared her opinion on the reports in an interview with News18 Showsha. The actress mentioned that the rumours and phone calls following the reports irritate her. Moreover, she stated that this time, these rumours shocked her and added:
“If you talk about fans or any random people, they write anything. They do it. They’ll write things to judge or troll you. I get irritated when I get messages or calls asking about rumours. If it is my personal life, I’ll tell you whenever I feel like it. Don’t bother me or don’t worry about it. Everything has the right time. There are so many rumours about me which I laugh at. I was shocked. There’s nothing one can do about it.”
In the same conversation, Devoleena called the rumours fake and mentioned that she doesn’t get affected by speculations. Further, the actress also opined on how her husband, Shanawaz and his family react to such rumours. She stated that she makes sure to quash such baseless rumours before it reaches them.
