After Payal Malik commented on Devoleena Bhattacharjee's interfaith marriage, the actress slammed her and penned a firey note taking digs at the former's personal life.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee is one of the famous television actresses who never skips a chance to call a spade a spade. In her personal life, the actress is married to Shanwaz Shaikh. As Devoleena had an interfaith marriage, people often shared negative remarks about it. The actress never paid any attention to the same. A few days ago, Devoleena called out Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika, for promoting polygamy. And as Payal took a dig at her interfaith marriage as a response, Devoleena yet again reacted to it.
Taking to her IG handle, Devoleena Bhattacharjee replied to Payal Malik's comment on her interfaith marriage. The actress reshared Devoleena's interview and penned a long note, stating that a person should have a higher level of knowledge to compare interfaith marriage with polygamy. She also added that people need to stand against polygamy, which is a matter of misery and even the cause of death for several other people in society.

On the same note, Devoleena remarked that the YouTuber can have two or more marriages and deal with this at home rather than promoting it on national television, thereby spreading a wrong message into the public. She also took a dig at Payal Malik, commenting on her interfaith marriage. The actress stated that although her husband is a Muslim, he is loyal to his wife and has no interest in polygamy.
She added that they did not need to decide for four years to stay together or choose to get married within one week. She also mentioned that a person should have self-respect. Devoleena also added that although she feels pity for Payal, she understands that's how the latter wants her life to be like.
Since the time YouTuber, Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika, graced Anil Kapoor's show, Bigg Boss OTT 3, internet users and celebrities have continued to take digs at them for promoting polygamy on a platform that is accessible to every individual. Devoleena was the first one to call out the YouTuber and his two wives. However, after being evicted, Payal, in an interview with Instant Bollywood, stated that Devoleena was criticised for marrying a Muslim guy, but neither she nor Armaan and Kiritika ever commented on the actress' personal life, so the latter has no right to comment on their personal life and relationship as well.

While being on Bigg Boss OTT 3, Armaan Malik shared that he got married to Payal and Kritika within a span of seven days only. However, Devoleena tagged this as 'gross' and also called out the BB OTT 3 makers for offering this platform to these three for promoting polygamy. She yet again called out Armaan as he once in an episode said that 'every man wants two wives'.
