However, the festival is predominantly celebrated in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and more. However, not many know that veteran actor, Dharmendra, who is a Punjabi also has also a connection with Chhath Puja. Yes! You read it right. Actually, once Dharmendra opened up about his Bihari daughters and shared how they celebrated Chhath Puja for his good health. The iconic actor is often regarded as one of the biggest actors in the rich history of Indian cinema.

It was in 2020 when Dharmendra had taken to his Twitter handle and shared an adorable picture of two girls, who could be seen sitting by the banks of a lake. The actor posted this picture on the auspicious day of Chhath Puja, which was why the two girls were seen all decked up in some lovely traditional outfits. In his tweet, Dharmendra mentioned that his two daughters celebrated Chhath Puja for his and their family's well-being. However, he also revealed that the two girls were the daughters of his cook after some people started speculating that those were his real daughters.
In his tweet, Dharmendra also thanked the two girls for their sweet gesture and wished everyone on Chhath Puja. However, this wasn't the first time when Dharmendra was praised for the way he used to call his cook's daughters his own. We have often seen him sharing videos and pictures with them and calling them 'meri betiyaan'. The actor holds a special kind of affection for kids, which is rightly visible in the way he has treated his cook's daughters over all these years. Many pictures of the actor with them are on the internet, which speaks volumes about his bond with them.

For the unversed, Dharmendra got married to Prakash Kaur back in 1957, and together they had welcomed four kids, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol, and Ajeita Deol. However, after some years of their marriage, Dharmendra fell in love with the iconic actress, Hema Malini. Despite not getting permission for divorce from his first wife, Dharmendra still decided to tie the knot with Hema in the year 1980. The couple had welcomed two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
