Vaibhav Rekhi and his ex-wife, Sunaina Rekhi came together to celebrate their daughter, Samaira Rekhi's birthday and the family was joined by his wife, Dia Mirza. Sunaina posted a video from the bash.
B-town celebrities prove that a tag in a relationship doesn't define the bond and love people share. For example, we have seen exes being friends, divorced couples sharing a warm bond with their partners' new families and the kids understanding the concept of the modern family. Newly married and pregnant, Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi too, inspire us with the relationship they share with each other and the lovely bond she has with his ex-wife, Sunaina Rekhi and step-daughter, Samaira Rekhi. The first glimpse of the same we had seen at Dia and Vaibhav's wedding when his daughter had led the actress, walk down the aisle.

It was on April 1, 2021, when Dia Mirza had announced her pregnancy with Vaibhav Rekhi by posting a throwback picture from her Maldives vacation. But soon, Dia Mirza was trolled by the netizens for getting married because of pregnancy and in an 'interesting question' by one of her followers, she had clarified the reason behind delaying the announcement. When one of the Instagrammers had asked Dia, "She tried to break the stereotypes with woman priest, why couldn't she announce her pregnancy before the marriage?" She had replied, "Interesting question. Firstly, we didn't marry because we were having a baby together. We were already marrying as we wanted to spend our lives together. We discovered we were going to have a baby while we were planning our wedding. So this marriage is not the result of pregnancy. We didn't announce the pregnancy until we knew its safe (medical reasons). This is the happiest news of my life. I've waited for many many years for this to happen. No way I would hide it for any reason other than medical."
Addressing why she chose to answer this question on social media, Dia Mirza had given five reasons, which could be read as "Only answering this because: 1) Having a child is a beautiful gift of life 2) There must never be any shame attached to this beautiful journey 3) As women we must always exercise our choice 4) Whether we choose to be single and parent a child or be in a marriage it is after all our choice 5) As a society we must un stereotype our idea of what is right or wrong, instead of training ourselves to ask what is fair or unfair."
