Dia Mirza Pens A Heartfelt Note Wishing Her Step-Daughter, Samaira Rekhi On Her 13th B'day

Apart from being a great actress, Dia Mirza is known for her sustainable fashion and environmentalism. Along with this, she is also a loving wife to her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi and a doting mother to her biological son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi and step-daughter, Samaira Rekhi. Time and again, Dia has proved that stepmothers can also have a beautiful bonding with their step-kids. She often takes to her social media handles and shares cutesy glimpses of her camaraderie with Samaira.

For the unversed, Samaira Rekhi is Dia Mirza's hubby, Vaibhav's daughter from his first marriage to Sunaina Rekhi. On January 9, 2022, Dia Mirza had shared an adorable video with her step-daughter, Samaira, showcasing her bond. In the video, Dia and Samaira could be seen dancing in twinning outfits. The mother-daughter duo had opted for violet printed night suits and had let their tresses open as they had grooved on the song “Hey Ladies. Drop it down” by Akon. She had captioned her video as:

A few hours ago, Dia Mirza took to her Instagram handle and shared a solo picture of her step-daughter, Samaira Rekhi to mark the latter's 13th birthday. The picture was taken from their Maldives trip wherein Samaira was seen wearing a black top and flaunted her cute curls with a smile. Along with the picture, Dia wrote a heartfelt note mentioning her gratitude towards Samaira for opening her heart and home to her. Dia's note can be read as:

"Happy 13th Birthday precious girl! Thank you for opening your heart and home to me like only you could. You are so special Sam and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life learning and growing with you. I love you. Keep spreading your love and light @samairarekhi."

Some times back, in an interview with ETimes, Dia Mirza had opened up about embracing motherhood but she had also mentioned Samaira’s importance in her life. She had shared:

“It is a very rewarding and fulfilling time of my life and I am enjoying every bit of it. I am learning each day about the joys and the challenges of motherhood, finding little spaces in my packed day just to breathe, to work while making sure that my baby and our daughter Samaira always remains at the heart of everything I do.”

On August 22, 2021, Avyaan had celebrated his first-ever Raksha Bandhan with his elder sister, Samaira Rekhi. Taking to her IG handle, Dia Mirza had shared a series of pictures from her son, Avyaan's first Rakhi celebrations. The family of four had twinned in yellow outfits.

When Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi had gone for a mini-honeymoon to the Maldives in March 2021, Samaira had accompanied them. Dia had shared a few breathtaking pictures from their getaway on her IG handle, and in one of the pictures, she had posed with Samaira as the two had looked beautiful together. She had captioned the pictures as “Cast Away’ let’s play. Our #JAMoment on a secluded island in the sun! What fun." She had also mentioned that the pictures were clicked by her husband, Vaibhav, and had added, “Photos by Him (Getting better)."
