After so many conjectures, Dipika finally confirmed that she converted to Islam to tie the knot with the man of her dreams. She had told The Times of India, “Joh sach hai woh hai (Truth is the truth). It's true I have done it, but why and when I have done it, don't think it needs to be talked about. I think it is a very personal matter and I don't think I need to talk about it openly in front of the media. For the audience and media, we are actors have always shared everything. All our happy moments we have shared with you all, but this I think is a very personal space and I don't give anyone the permission to enter the space. Definitely, it is true, and I am not denying it. I am very happy and proud that I have done it for myself and my happiness. My family was with me in this decision and my intentions were to hurt anyone. This is my decision.” (Checkout: Manish Naggdev Comments On His Ex-Girlfriend, Srishty Rode's Linkup, Says, 'Not Interested In Her')

Why do you expect that I will live my life on your terms and conditions? How are you even related to me? Just because I’m an actor and you get to know about my personal life doesn’t give you the right to abuse me or slam me whenever you feel like. Shame on you.”
Further revealing she doesn’t pay heed to any of such hatred-filled comments, Dipika had remarked, “Where were these so-called concerned people when I was going through a rough patch in my life? So, how the hell they’ve got a right to ruin my image by giving bad abuses or even abusing Shoaib. I pity them that they have so much spare time to write such long hate messages for us.” And if such negative comments bother her, she had quipped, “Not at all. We knew this would happen. Our relationship based on caste and a lot many other things were always being speculated, hence we got used to it much early.
