Televsion actress, Dipika Kakar had married her co-star, Shoaib Ibrahim in a 'nikaah' ceremony on February 22, 2018. Now, she talked about her equation with her in-laws and her hubby.
We have heard that jodis are made in heaven, and Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are the perfect examples of it. The television actors had crossed paths on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka in 2011, but little did they know that their reel-life romance would become a real-life one after some years. Moreover, Dipika was already married back then, and it was not easy for her to come out of a troubled marriage. However, Dipika had shown courage and had divorced her ex-husband, Raunak Mehta in 2015.
And after dating the man of her dreams, Shoaib Ibrahim for three years, she had exchanged the sacred vows with him in a nikaah ceremony on February 22, 2018. Ever since then, they have been dishing out major couple goals with their mushy romance and cute PDAs. In a recent media interaction, Dipika revealed how her mother-in-law helped her after she was diagnosed with PCOS. After four years of marriage, she also talked about her equation with her husband and in-laws.

In a recent conversation with the ETimes, Dipika Kakar shared that she recently developed PCOS. However, as Dipika’s mother stays in Pune, it is her ammi who always sends lunch boxes and tea to Dipika on her shooting sets every day without fail. The actress shared that her mother-in-law always takes care of her health and makes sure that she eats ‘ghar ka khana’. Recalling how her body had given up on her when she was filming for Sasural Simar Ka for more than 6 years, she shared:
“I developed PCOS very recently. I never knew I had this problem. When we are shooting we don’t realise the long shooting hours. During that time, my mother-in-law played an important role. My mother stays in Pune. So Ammi made sure that I get a tiffin every day and I eat ghar ka khana. There was a point when my body had totally given up when I was shooting for Simar for 6 years. She would send food and tea everyday without fail. Whether it's the quantity or I have roti with ghee or not, Ammi and Saba would take care of everything.”
Further in the interview, Dipika was asked whether it is a boon or bane to date someone from a similar industry. To which, the gorgeousness mentioned that getting married to Shoaib is a blessing for her as they love to come back home right after pack-up. She also shared that her hubby does not have any bad habits. In her words:
“I think for us it has been a blessing because our nature has always been quite similar. We like to pay attention to work and we don’t like to party or socialise much. Individually, also when we were not dating we would love to go home after pack-up. We are very blessed because we don’t have any bad habits or anything.”

Staying in a joint family can sometimes be troublesome as different people have different opinions, leading to quarrels. However, Dipika spilled the beans on how to lead a happy married life and talked about maintaining a bridge between her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Saba. Dipika can be quoted as saying:
“I’ve always heard from people and even some of my friends how they don’t get along with their in-laws. But I would give the credit to Shoaib because he is the one who was the initial bridge between us. I am from a different background and Ammi and Saba are from different backgrounds. In our family, everyone knows their roles and that’s why we are always happy.”
For the unversed, Dipika and Shoaib had celebrated their fourth marriage anniversary on February 22, 2022.
