Iconic filmmaker, Shankar was in the headlines for his upcoming film, Indian 2 that features megastars like Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal, Bae Suzy, and others. The ace director is riding high on the professional front, but it's his personal life that is making huge noise on the internet. Shankar's daughter, Aishwarya has tied the marital knot with renowned industrialist, Damodaren.

Shankar is often regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. With films like Indian, Jeans, Nayak, Sivaji: The Boss, Anandhapurathu Veedu, and many others, he has proved the mettle of his genius time and again. He is one of the highest-paid directors of all time, and his film 2.0 is the sixth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.

On June 27, 2021, legendary director, Shankar's daughter, Aishwarya Shankar got married to Indian circketer Rohit Damodharan in an intimate wedding ceremony. The wedding was attended by the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin and his son and actor, Udhayanidhi Stalin. According to a report in ETimes, the wedding took place at a hotel on ECR because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The guest list was restricted to 50 people, which included family members and some close friends and guests. Aishwarya and Rohit's wedding pictures are going viral on the internet for all good reasons.

On their wedding day, while on one side, Aishwarya Shankar looked the prettiest and overshadowed everyone on the biggest day of her life. The bride styled a traditional orange silk saree with a sequined and embroidered blouse. Aishwarya completed her bridal look with some breathtakingly beautiful ethnic jewellery and a high-clad gajra bun. On the other side, our groom Rohit can be seen wearing a kurta and styled it perfectly with a lace-designed shawl.

Talking about the set designing of Aishwarya Shankar and Rohit Damodharan's wedding, then the award-winning art director, Muthuraj, created it. The visionary art director has worked with Aishwarya's father, Shankar in multiple hit films, most notably in Robot. A source close to ETimes stated that the wedding was a half-day event. Source added, "The idea was to keep the theme simple and pleasant, and hence, the mandapam was designed to make it look like it's amidst lush hills. The wedding was a half-a-day event."

The source also revealed that the family are planning is planning a grand reception party, but it would happen when all the COVID-19 restrictions would be lifted. The Source stated, "The family is planning to throw a grand reception, with Shankar's friends from across the south industry in attendance, a month or two later, when COVID-19 cases fall, and restrictions are eased."
