This time, the diva is all set to bring in a hilarious comedy film, Doctor G starring Ayushmann Khurrana, which would tickle your funny bones for sure. In a recent interview with DNA, Rakul Preet revealed that she agreed to do the film, Doctor G because she found the plot relatable to her childhood. Rakul mentioned that she used to be hesitant about consulting male gynaecologists as thinking about the routine check-up made her nervous. In her words:
“When I was a teenager, there was a time when I had to consult a male gynaecologist. Even I had these thoughts before consulting a male professional. When you're 13-14 years old, you think about multiple things...there are hesitations, like how will the doctor do the routine check-up, etc. Of course, when you grow older, you don't think about it. So when I read the script, I told them, that it is so unique and relatable."
On the personal front, the gorgeousness is in a relationship with film producer and actor, Jackky Bhagnani. In October 2021, rumours about Rakul Preet and Jackky’s much-awaited wedding had been doing rounds on the internet. In an interview with News18, when Rakul was asked about her marriage plans, she said that work is her priority and she does not pay any heed to the speculations of the gossipmongers. The actress had stated:
“Be it marriage or any other rumours about nonsense that doesn’t exist, especially don’t bother me at all. I have learnt to keep my blinders on and keep working. I have been transparent in my life and as and when that step has to happen, I will be the first person to talk about it, like I did this time too. I only feel people shouldn’t speculate and wait for the truth to come out. Right now my focus is on my work and the 10 films that I have and the other work that is coming in. Everything else will happen when it is due.”

She had said that it is essential to give that respect to your partner and talk about your relationship in public. Rakul had also added that she and Jackky share similar thoughts. In her words:
“We're both of the opinions that there is nothing to hide or be sly about a relationship. If you are in one, the best thing is to give each other that respect and acknowledge it. Let's face it. We all know who the couples are, hiding and running. Both of us don't come from that school of thought."
