There's no shadow of a doubt that the year 2020 is nothing less than a tragedy. From losing people to COVID-19 pandemic to the economic downfall, the storms of problems are coming from all corners this year. However, just as they say, no matter how dark it in, there's always a ray of light at the end of the tunnel and all we have to do is run, walk, crawl towards it. So, for some people, this year has turned out to be a good one, as some had tied the knot, while some had become parents, and some had bagged big projects on the work front. One such celebrity is popular dancer and actress, Elli AvrRam, who is riding high on the professional front this year, as she's shooting for a web series in Dubai. But not a lot of people are aware of the fact that last year was the darkest year for her family as her brother had gotten diagnosed with a brain tumour. Scroll down to read it all!
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, popular dancer, Elli AvrRam shockingly revealed that her brother, Konstantin AvrRamidis had gotten diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and it was a dark time for her family. She said, "My brother got diagnosed with a brain tumour, that came like a big shock for the entire family. He is just 33, a super fit athletic person, the last person you'd think something like this would happen to. I was busy shooting for Malang at that time, and the character was also emotionally draining. I had to step into that, and when I stepped out of character, I was back to reality, which was also draining me out." Elli AvrRam also gave an update about her brother's current state and revealed that he's doing quite good at the moment. She added, "By God's grace, he's doing much better now. Of course, it takes time to recover, but we're going towards the light." She also stated that the year 2019 was a big slap on her face as it had made her realise the importance of life and family. She said, "When A lot of people reacted to seeing me dance on Instagram, and I told them I've learnt how precious life is. In 2019, a big slap came on my face when we didn't know how the surgery would go, how my brother's life would turn out. I was questioning God so much, what people are doing now, I did all of that last year."
Going further in her interview, Elli also stated that just like everybody, she also had a lot of plans and projects in her hand and was quite motivated in the early months of 2020. She retorted, "I was also going to start a new shoot two days before the COVID lockdown. I was excited that I had signed new projects and happy that it'll be a busy year, and suddenly, God decided to make us reflect on life. It's been a really tough time for all of us, but I'd say personally there have been a lot of realisations." The actress is currently in Dubai and is shotting for a web series when she was asked about the situation there, Elli said in her concluding statement, "Even reaching the airport felt a bit weird. I was also thinking about how does one behave now when they step out, but luckily, it's safe here in Dubai. Everybody is following the rules, that feels good."
