Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited film, Emergency was released on January 17, 2025, and has received mixed reviews so far. The film registered a modest opening of just Rs. 2.35 crore, but it is still the biggest opening of Kangana's career in the last five years (post-pandemic). The film is based on the 21 months of Emergency from 1975 to 1977, which was pulled into action by the then-Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.

For the uninitiated, Vishak Nair played the character of Indira Gandhi's son, Sanjay Gandhi, in Emergency. The actor looked like a carbon copy of the late politician and shocked everyone with how he replicated Sanjay Gandhi's vocal texture and body language.

However, due to his immense interest in cinema and filmmaking, he left the job and joined The Little Theatre Chennai to pursue acting.
After doing theatre for some years, Vishak Nair made his acting debut back in 2016 with the Malayalam film, Aanandam, and it made him a star overnight. After receiving a lot of praise from critics and love from the audience, Vishak became a household name across Kerala with just one film. In the following years, he worked in a series of successful Malayalam films, including Chunkzz, Matchbox, Puthen Panam, Aana Alaralodalaral, Lonappante Mamodeesa, Kuttymama, LLB: Life Line of Bachelors, and many more.
Talking about Vishak Nair's personal life, the 32-year-old actor is married to the love of his life, Jayapria Nair. The couple got married on June 9, 2022, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Bengaluru. While Vishak is a renowned actor in Mollywood, Jayapria is also an entrepreneur, who is the co-founder of Kanavu Kampany.
