Emraan Hashmi, who was once hailed as a serial kisser, revealed that his wife had set a rule to buy handbags for her everytime he kissed on-screen.
Emraan Hashmi was hailed as a serial kisser after his every role in the early 2000s films involved kissing his heroine. While he didn't intentionally sign any of those films, he rose to fame with his kissing scenes, and a lot of similar work came his way. Recently, Emraan Hashmi revealed that his wife, Parveen Shahani, had set a rule for him to buy a handbag every time he kissed on-screen. For the unversed, Emraan got married to Parveen on December 14, 2006.
While Emraan is known as a serial kisser on-screen, he has stayed away from any link-up rumours with his co-actresses since he joined films. Recently, in an interview with NDTV, the actor talked about his on-screen kisses and if he still follows the rule set by his wife, Parveen of buying her a handbag to compensate of him kissing in the films. Emraan added that, thankfully, it is not there anymore as his bank balance would be exhausted. He said:
"Yeah that was way back! Thankfully that rule is not there anymore because my bank balance would have ended. You know how much handbags cost these days?!"

In a 2012 interview with the Hindustan Times, Emraan revealed his wife, Parveen reaction to his intimate scenes in films. The actor revealed that he does not tell her about the scenes, while he makes sure that he informs her about the films he is working on. He also stated that his wife is a film buff, but the glamour world does not strike her. She has her own life and doesn't interfere with his work commitments.
During an appearance on Koffee With Karan, Emraan shared that his wife, Parveen was unaware of his intimate scenes in the film, Murder, which was a blockbuster. The actor revealed that when they saw the film together, Parveen dug her nails into his skin, and Emraan was left with a lot of nail marks on his arms after the film ended. He was quoted as saying:
"In the first seat my wife digging her nails into my hand like 'what the hell have you done and you haven't prepared me for this and what are you doing because this is not Bollywood'. When the hands came off, there were four jabs... I was injured...I was bleeding."
On the same show, Emraan stated that his wife, Parveen, had not yet accepted his job, but they had hit a common ground. He added that he would take his wife, Parveen, on shopping, and she could swipe his card close to seven-digit numbers.
