Bobby Deol had made his digital debut with 'Class Of 83'' and while it has received a shout-out from the industry and audience, Esha Deol too, had praised her half-brother for the film.
Some relationships prove that half, step or whole doesn’t matter as long as love is there. Such is the relationship shared between Dharmendra’s children, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol from first wife, Parkash Kaur and Esha Deol Takhtani and Ahana Deol Vohra from second wife, Hema Malini. While Sunny and Bobby have a soft spot for their half-sisters, Esha and Ahana and all of them share a warm bond, but keeping in mind the complexities and sensitivity of their relationship, they prefer to maintain a safe distance. But this doesn’t stop them from extending support for one another or praise each other on their achievements. When in 2019, Sunny Deol had made a political debut with the Lok Sabha elections with a BJP ticket from the Gurdaspur seat and had won with a huge margin, Esha Deol had extended her warm wishes to him. Congratulating Sunny on his victory, Esha had tweeted, “Congratulations @iamsunnydeol my best wishes to u always.” To which, Sunny had replied, “Thanks @Esha_Deol.”
In 2020, Bobby Deol has completed 25 years in the industry, and he had also made his digital debut with Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment collaborated film, Class Of 83’ which had premiered on August 21, 2020. To give you a recap of Dharmendra’s personal life, when he had fallen for his ‘Dream Girl’, Hema Malini on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawaan, he was already a married man with four kids. While that didn’t stop Dharmendra from falling in love with her, Hema Malini was reluctant in pursuing her relationship with him. When Dharmendra ji and Hema ji had decided to tie the knot, his first wife, Parkash Kaur did not want a divorce. So, the couple had to convert to Islam in order to get married to each other. In a throwback interview, Dharmendra’s first wife, Parkash Kaur had defended her husband for being tagged as a womaniser. She had said, “Why only my husband, any man would have preferred Hema to me. How dare anyone call my husband a womaniser when half the industry is doing the same thing? All heroes are having affairs and getting married a second time.” Sympathising with Hema Malini, she had added, “I can understand what Hema is going through. Even she has to face the world, her relatives and her friends. But if I were in Hema’s place, I would not have done what she did. For, as a woman, I can understand her feelings. But as a wife and a mother I do not approve of them.”
Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol had missed their half-sisters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol’s weddings. According to a Times Of India report, a source had revealed the reason behind Sunny and Bobby’s decision in skipping Esha and Ahana’s weddings. The source was quoted as saying, “Both Sunny and Bobby love Esha and Ahana a lot. They’re very much the doting protective Big Brothers. Whenever they are abroad, Sunny and Bobby bring suitcases filled with shoes, belts and clothes for Esha and her sister. They wouldn’t have liked to miss the big day for anything in the world. But finally, the fragility of the world that Dharmendra has created within and outside his home, had to be kept in mind.” And a friend of the Deols had stated, “Sunny and Bobby couldn’t attend Esha’s wedding was a personal defeat for Dharamji. It was a reminder of the fact that his two families would never be the one. His ire was totally justified.” (Also Read: Esha Deol Takhtani's Hubby Bharat Takhtani Gives His Feedback On Her Book 'Amma Mia', Shares A Video)
