To mark International Dance Day 2021, Esha Deol posted a couple of pictures from one of her classical dance performances and credited her guru ji, Guru Rabindra Atibudhi.
Born to veteran actors, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, step-sister of Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol and cousin of Abhay Deol, Esha Deol followed her family's footsteps and stepped into the world of entertainment at the age of 21. Despite her interest in football and being a midfielder, captain of her school's football team and representing her college in handball at the state level, Esha followed her dream of becoming an actor and made her debut with the film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe in 2002. But it was in 2004 when Esha finally got her breakthrough with YRF film, Dhoom.

Just like Hema Malini, her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol too are trained Odissi dancers and radiate similar poise, grace and ethereal charm. In October 2020, Esha had posted a picture with Hema Malini and Ahana, from one of their classical dance performances. Esha had captioned her post as "#happyashtami being an Indian classical dancer too I must say depicting the various forms of the divine mother goddess be it Durga, Lakshmi, kali or Sarasvati Maa is a beautiful feeling filled with divine grace & blessings as we perform on stage. I truly feel humbled. This is a throwback of our dance performance in Kolkata during Durga Pooja can't wait to get back on stage with @dreamgirlhemamalini @a_tribe #awesometrio #gratitude."
To mark International Dance Day 2021, Esha Deol posted a couple of pictures from one of her classical dance performances and credited her guru ji, Guru Rabindra Atibudhi. Wishing her forever dance companions, her mother, Hema Malini and sister, Ahana Deol on this special day, Esha wrote, "Today is international dance day & I take immense pride in my contribution towards our #indianclassicaldance .... being an #odissidancer from a very young age & having performed on stage all over our country & internationally... Esha Deol had embraced motherhood for the first time in October 2017 and within five months post-delivery, she had made her comeback on the stage. After a long break due to pregnancy, Esha was back on stage with her mother, Hema Malini at Siri Fort Auditorium, Delhi. On March 17, 2018, Esha and her mother had performed in Delhi and Esha posted a picture and a video from the event. She had captioned them as "First Classical dance performance after a long time, today at Delhi Siri fort auditorium! Gratitude!!! With @dreamgirlhemamalini." Revealing how Esha had performed, Hema Malini had written, "Both Esha and Ahaana were scheduled to dance with me as it is a significant theme where I hand over the baton to the next gen - but only Esha performed - Ahaana was indisposed. Anyway, it was a big success and Esha performed like a dream! She's a natural #parampara #srifort." Check out the pictures that Hema Malini had posted:

In an interview with The Quint, Hema Malini had expressed how performing Parampara with her daughters, Esha Deol Takhtani and Ahana Deol Vohra was a beautiful moment for them. She had remarked, "Dance for me is devotion, meditation and also tradition. I perform Parampara with my daughters Esha and Aahana Deol and that is the most beautiful moment for all of us because it is carrying forward a tradition. My daughters understand that art has to be pursued and nourished. The fulfillment I experience after a dance show cannot be compared to the experience of a film."
Looks like the little Deol-Takhtani girls, Radhya Takhtani and Miraya Takhtani will also be following their grandmother, Hema Malini, mother, Esha Deol and maasi, Ahana Deol's footsteps. Revealing how Radhya and Miraya have already began their journeys as dancer, Esha had once stated in an interview with the ETimes, "Mom and I would rehearse around 4 pm in our salwar kurtas and Radhya would be ready before us, in the same attire, with the dupatta tied in exactly the same way. She is eager to learn dance and during every rehearsal she was doing her own thing. As for Miraya, she can already recite the classical taal. In our family, there is no escaping dancing."
