In a recent interview, Esha Gupta opened up about her relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Manuel Campos Guallar, and also revealed her experience of freezing eggs in 2017.
Esha Gupta was titled as the Miss India International 2007. Following this, she made her acting debut with the 2012 film, Jannat 2, and for the same, she was also bestowed with a Filmfare Award nomination. Thereafter, Esha was also seen in many other films, including Raaz 3, Rustom, Baadshaaho, and Commando 2, among others. Coming to her personal life, Esha is in a relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Manuel Campos Guallar, who works at a real estate firm.
In an interview with Bombay Times, Esha Gupta opened up about shuttling between Spain, Delhi and Mumbai to be with her close ones and look after her work front side-by-side. She revealed how her Spanish entrepreneur boyfriend, Manuel Campos Guallar, helped her pace down her career and set up a business. Esha shared:
“I'm glad that I have, Manuel (Campos Guallar, Spanish-entrepreneur boyfriend) in my life. He's helped me set up a business (a restaurant in Spain). Coming from the service background, you don't think of business; you think of being self-made, but not really business. I always thought I'd be doing a job under someone and be in a law firm. It's easier, it's more reliable. But he's helped me secure my life. I often joke, that now you can't even leave me. You have to marry me."

The 37-year-old actress, Esha was then asked about her marriage plans with Manuel. To this, the diva mentioned that they have been in a steady relationship for the last five years and that marriage would happen anytime soon. However, she mentioned that currently, she is focusing more on her health. In the same conversation, Esha revealed that she has always dreamt of having babies and can never think of living without kids and dogs.
Further, Esha opened up about freezing her eggs in 2017, and recalled an incident that in her childhood, she used to have a doll, whom she would address as her child. Thereafter, the actress mentioned that her boyfriend is also very open-minded, and they have already talked in length with one another about their wish to have babies via IVF or surrogacy or adoption. She mentioned that this is why she has no stress about getting married or having kids. Thus, they will take the plunge whenever they feel it is the right time. She said:
“When we get married, it will be either IVF or surrogacy – depending on when we get married and what my body is going through. Manuel is prepared and luckily, he's one of those open-minded men. So, I'm not stressed when we get married. Jab bhi hoga, baccha ho jaayega. I keep telling Manuel, I want the baby to have his eyes and my skin colour. I just want to marry him because of kids. And he's like, 'But what if it's the other way around?' I reply, 'Then we will have to keep reproducing."

However, Esha also talked about the process of freezing her eggs and mentioned how anyone undergoing the process ends up gaining weight because of the hormones. For the uninitiated, Esha's aunt, who herself has been through the process, suggested the actress to freeze her eggs when she was healthy. Talking about the process of freezing eggs, she mentioned:
“I did the freezing at that time when in India it was really expensive. But I was certain that when it comes to health – anything. These (the eggs) are my kids. I'd rather freeze them when I'm healthy. If I wasn't an actor, I would have already had three kids by now for sure, I've always wanted kids, so I think I would have had three. You end up gaining weight because of the hormones. Our body is changing. You end up becoming moody, but it makes you happy somewhat because it's exciting. It's truly exciting when you're doing it because you're like, ‘Dude, you know what? Tomorrow they are gonna be my kids’."
