Esha Verma, the step-daughter of Rupali Ganguly, finally shared the truth about posting a 'happy dinner' picture with her on social media handle.
Rupali Ganguly has always painted the picture of a happy family with her husband, Ashwin K Verma. But it seems like there are other facets to her relationship, and it is not that pleasing. Things took a sudden turn, and Rupali landed herself in more controversies as an old post from 2020 of her step-daughter, Esha Verma, surfaced. The young girl called herself daughter of Ashwin and claimed that Rupali ruined her happy life.
Being raised in a broken family can be difficult, and if not dealt with with care, the children suffer terribly. This seems to be the case with Ashwin K Verma's second daughter from his second marriage with Priyanka Verma. Her hurt for not being publically or personally acknowledged by her father, Ashwin or his third wife, Rupali, can be clearly felt in her words. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Esha shared the reason for posting a picture with her step-mother, Rupali and her father, Ashwin.
Talking about the 2021 photo she shared on Instagram, Esha called it a 'bare minimum' action from Rupali's side. Esha shared that she posted the photo to let the world know that she is related to both of them, but they do not want to acknowledge her existence publically or personally. She said:
"Nothing much has changed, I posted the picture to showcase that I am related to both of them, since neither my father nor Rupali chose to acknowledge me as family, personally nor publicly."
Esha added that she had met her father after five years, and it was a blessing, but termed it the 'bare minimum' on his end. Esha also talked about the reason behind Rupali's following her on Instagram and taking her out to dinner, which was just the 'bare minimum' they did. She was quoted as saying:
"Going to meet my dad once after 5 years was a blessing but also the bare minimum, as people are very lucky in this world to have both their parents. My father hasn’t been in my life and left home when I was 8. She following me on Instagram and taking me out to dinner was the bare minimum too."
Esha added that it was painful as her father never posted about her, and it hurts her. She stated that he is happy in his family but left his other family behind.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Esha penned a heartfelt gratitude note to people who reached out to her and tried to understand her perspective. She added that it's not just 'a headline but her life, her childhood, and the pain she endured.' Esha shared that her father, Ashwin, and his wife, Rupali, might deny her claims, but they are coming out of fear of the truth. She further shared that it was painful to see Rupali rise in the entertainment industry and play a character that was far from her actual reality.
It is worth mentioning that Rupali Ganguly has not addressed or reacted to Esha Verma's claims, but her husband, Ashwin K Verma admitted that Esha is his daughter from his second marriage.
