A video from the New York leg of Ayushmann Khurrana's US tour showed the singer schooling a fan who threw dollars at him on stage. Ayushmann suggested that they donate the money to charity instead.
For only the second time in Ayushmann Khurrana's career, the year will pass without him releasing a film. However, that's not to say that the multi-talented personality hasn't been busy. Ayushmann, who is also known for his soulful vocals, is currently touring the US with his band, AyushmannBhava. Well, a video from the New York show recently posted to Instagram showed Aayushman pausing a performance to school an audience member who threw dollars on stage.
Ayushmann Khurrana was about to start performing during his New York show when an audience member threw dollars on stage at him. A video that captured the moment also recorded Ayushmann's reaction. Ayushmann looked at money lying on the stage, smiled, and waited as the flute player in his band finished his performance. Once the latter was done, Ayushmann grabbed the mic and addressed the fan, telling them:
"Paji aisa na kare yaha. Don’t do this please. Aisa na karo aap. Aap isko charity kardo, kuch kar de, ye mat karo yaha par please. I love you for this love. Aap ki bohot saari izzat hai par aap please isko charity khul ke kare bina kisi ko bataye. Main kya karunga iska?"
Ayushmann, who has won hearts time and again for his humility, maintained a respectful tone throughout his speech. The actor even kept a smile on his face, realising that the fan's action was probably a misguided attempt at expressing their appreciation. Once he was done, he resumed his performance of the song, Pani Da Rang.

The fan who uploaded the video of the incident and witnessed it live expressed their thoughts about it. In the post caption, they said that it was 'disheartening to see such a disrespectful act.' They further elaborated that the audience member 'chose to flaunt their wealth in a tasteless manner' rather than enjoy the music.
The fan then praised Ayushmann Khurrana for his grace, humility, and politeness while handling the incident. Talking about the value of Ayushmann's words, the fan penned:
"His response was not only classy but also highlighted the importance of using wealth for good. Let's hope this incident serves as a reminder to everyone attending live events to respect the artists and the experience for all."
Ayushmann Khurrana's tour with his band, AyushmannBhava, kicked off in Chicago on November 14. They will visit four other cities, namely San Jose, New York, Dallas, and New Jersey, until November 24. Speaking about his tour in a statement, Ayushmann once said:
"Making music and touring is definitely one big opportunity for me to meet people, interact, and engage with them while showing them who I am, what my core is, through my music. Moreover, I have also done musicals in college, so this is like homecoming for me."
