Netizens dig out a video of Flying Beast, Gaurav Taneja's wife, Ritu Rathee where she called her maid an 'inspiration'. Ritu recently caused a ruckus after she called househelps as 'abla nari'.
Famous Indian YouTuber, Gaurav Taneja once hailed as the family man, was highly criticised after murmurs of his separation from his wife, Ritu Rathee, made the headlines. It all started after Ritu missed her family vacation, and Gaurav chose not to address her absence in the video. In fact, he entirely neglected to mention Ritu in the vlog. On September 28, 2024, Gaurav took to his Instagram handle and shared a cryptic post about his marriage to Ritu.
After Gaurav's post, things escalated fast, and their fans started to think of all the possible reasons for their split. Amid this, a video of Ritu went viral, sharing her concerns about her daughter with a spiritual guru. Therein, Ritu also shared that her husband has only betrayed her over time. Netizens empathised with her until she shared a video belittling all her fans and well-wishers.
A while back, a fan shared a video excerpt on the discussion platform Reddit, wherein the OP shared how highly Ritu was talking of her maid. In the video, Ritu shared that people call her an inspiration, but she is not. She was privileged enough to go to the US to study and become a pilot without any loan, as her father could afford it. The real inspiration is her househelp, who is fighting a battle every day but does not give up.
Taking to the post's comment section, an user wrote, "Ok Ritu you are not inspiration pakka promise." While another penned, "She's obsessed with her maid. If she feels so sorry for her maid, maybe she should increase her salary instead of making videos about her." Another netizen called out her problematic behaviour and said, "The moment she opened her mouth and mentioned maid and stuff , I understood she's full of sh-t! Why would you degrade another woman's personal life to uphold yours ??"

Ritu Rathee, visibly emotional, took to her IG handle and posted a video. In the video titled ‘Divorce Reality Check,’ Ritu passionately defended her husband, Gaurav Taneja, against the gossip mongers and asserted her independence from social media support. She further added that 'maid in your houses are able naari'. She asked her fans to solve their house help issues as they need it more. In her words:
"Am I an abla naari? No I am not. Reality check, the maid who comes to your house, vo abla naari hai. Uske ghar mein us par hazaar atyachar huye. I really wish ap uske ghar pr jao or uske issues resolve krte and kahte, 'We are in your army'. Mai saksham hoon apne bacho ko paalne ke liye."
