Farah Khan recalls the absence of Salman Khan for the maximum time during the shooting of his iconic song in the film, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.
The 1998 released film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has been one of the most iconic and cult favourite films ever made in the history of Indian cinema. The film still holds a special place in the hearts of the audiences, who often revisit watching the same. The film featured a stellar star cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol playing pivotal roles. And now, the film’s choreographer and talented filmmaker, Farah Khan, spilt beans and shared some simmering details about the shooting of one particular track.
Farah Khan recently graced the popular dance reality show, ‘India’s Best Dancer’ as a judge for a particular episode. During her stint in the show, she recalled shooting for the song, Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye, from the film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which featured Salman Khan and Kajol. While the track was a massive hit back in the day and continues to do so to date, Farah revealed how Salman was never present during the entire filming of the song. He would only come for 2 to 3 hours and perform a limited number of shots for the song. Moreover, she recalled how Salman’s duplicate, named Ritji, covered for his absence. In her words:
“Ritji bahut cute tha yar. Main bata du Sajan ji Ghar Aaye mein, Salman Khan ka aadha gana Salman ka dupe banke Ritji ne kia. Really, kyunki Salman aata hi tha 2-3 ghante ke liye. To baki back shot, top shot, wide shot, sab Ritji karta tha.”

Farah Khan is renowned popularly for her fearless personality, and she does not ever fear mincing her words. For instance, during her stint as the host of the game-based reality show, Khatra Khatra Show, Farah, in the presence of the show’s guest, Ananya Panday, revealed how she had developed a massive crush on the latter’s father, Chunky Panday, in the 1990s. She also revealed how she had to befriend Chunky’s then-wife-to-be, Bhavana Panday, to be able to work with him. Nevertheless, she also concluded hilariously on how after working with Chunky, she realised how lucky she was that nothing serious brewed between them. In her words:
“After working with him (Chunky), I am glad that nothing happened between us. I also thanked Bhavana for getting married to him."
In her personal life, Farah Khan is happily married to filmmaker, Shirish Kunder and the duo is blessed with triplets, Czar, Anya and Diva. However, there have been quite a few moments when she has been targeted with many taunts and criticism for marrying Shirish, who is eight years younger. In one of her candid conversations with actress, Malaika Arora on the latter’s show, Moving In With Malaika, Farah recalled the demeaning verbal attacks she received and mentioned:
“One friend of mine when I was getting married someone asked him, 'Are you attending Farah's wedding?' He said, 'No. But I'll attend the second one. I thought that was quite b****y."

Farah Khan has been quite open on sharing a few candid anecdotes about her personal life. For instance, during her presence in the reality show, Sawayamvar: Mika Di Vohti, Farah candidly recalled her experience of marriage and shared how she was utterly terrified about all the adjustments she had to make post her wedding. Thereafter, she had also revealed how she entertained thoughts of running away within the very first year of her marriage itself.
