However, she had last directed the film, Happy New Year, in 2014. After that, she took a gap in direction and appeared as a judge in several TV reality shows. Currently, she is seen as a judge in one of the dance reality TV programs, Dance Deewane Juniors.
For the unversed, Farah Khan had tied the knot with the filmmaker, Shirish Kunder in 2004. Together, the couple welcomed their triplets, Anya Kunder, Diva Kunder, and Czar Kunder, through IVF. Recently, in an interview with Bombay Times, she opened up about how her mother-in-law, Geetanjali Kunder had encouraged her after her film, Tees Maar Khan turned out to be a box-office flop. She mentioned that her film was highly criticised by people, even after it had made money. For the unversed, the film starred Akshay Kumar, and Katrina Kaif as the pivotal characters and the script was written by her husband, Shirish Kunder and his brother, Ashmith Kunder. With the film's iconic song, Sheila Ki Jawani, Farah had also bagged The Best Choreography award that year. However, the harsh comments had discouraged her, and it was only her saasu maa who motivated her to step out. Farah said:
“I still recall how Tees Maar Khan was ripped apart and though people said a lot of things about it, the film made money. I’ve been a fighter and a survivor. After Tees Maar Khan, I didn’t want to step out, even though I was winning an award for the choreography of Sheila Ki Jawani. My mother-in-law encouraged me to go for it. So, through time and the ups and downs, I grew older and wiser, and had kids.”
Further, in the same conversation, Farah mentioned that now she is in a comfort zone. However, she also has a busy schedule. She revealed that slowing down during the lockdown process ultimately helped her in chilling with family. She added:
“I’m in a comfort zone today. I’ve not made a film in a few years, but I’ve been busy, either doing shows, acting in ads or directing ad films. I’ve found my own zone to work where I am at ease and still as busy as I want to be. I wanted to spend time with my kids. And yet, despite slowing down a bit, the only time we actually chilled together was during the lockdown."

Farah Khan is also a beautiful example of how someone can embrace motherhood at any age and can live happily ever after with her kids. In November 2020, Farah had written an open letter and talked about her decision to embrace motherhood at the age of 43, encouraging women to opt for IVF. Farah had captioned her post as:
“Our choices make us. I became an IVF mom at 43 and I am glad I did so. I wish a great motherhood to all women out there who want to be mothers - naturally or otherwise. An open letter to all the women out there, reminding them that #ItsAWomansCall Are you with me ladies?”
