Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar shared a series of pictures from their wedding festivities and what caught our attention was the actor's daughter, Shakya and Akira attending his special day.
Farhan Akhtar was first married to hairstylist, Adhuna Bhabani. The two had tied the knot in the year 2000 and after sixteen years of marital bliss, they had filed for divorce on October 19, 2016. They had mutually decided to end their marriage and are happily co-parenting their daughters, Shakya and Akira. On February 19, 2022, Farhan had tied the knot for the second time with actress-model, Shibani Dandekar in a Christian wedding and his daughter, Shakya and Akira, had happily attended their union.
On the morning of February 23, 2022, Farhan Akhtar had taken to his IG handle and had shared the first few glimpses from his Christian wedding with Shibani Dandekar. Sharing the photos, the newlywed, Farhan had asked for blessings from his fans and followers on his new journey in life with his wife, Shibani. He had written:
"A few days ago, @shibanidandekar & I celebrated our union and we are deeply grateful to all those who did respect our need for privacy on the day. The celebration however, is incomplete without sharing some precious moments with you and seeking your blessings as we begin our journey across the skies of time, together. With love from us to you."

After posting the first pictures from their wedding ceremony, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have taken social media by storm by sharing beautiful moments from their union. In one picture, we spotted Farhan posing with his daughter, Shakya and Akira, who looked happy and gorgeous in their respective outfits. In one photo, Shakya and Akira can be seen dancing, and in another, they can be seen posing for a family picture. In some adorable moments, we spotted Shibani dancing with her father-in-law, Javed Akhtar, Anusha shedding tears of joy watching her sister get married, and FarahKhan doing the hook step of Ek Pal Ka Jeena with Hrithik and Farhan. Farhan Akhtar's wife, Shibani Dandekar had also shared an array of pictures from some goofy and precious moments with her husband from their perfect wedding. Shibani had looked absolutely ethereal in the red dress and with the long red veil. She had completed her look with a pair of statement earrings. Sharing the pictures, she had written:
"Mr. and Mrs."

On February 12, 2021, Farhan Akhtar's daughter, Akira Akhtar had turned a year older, and his then-girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar had penned a lovely wish for her. Shibani had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with Akira. Atop it, Shibani had written:
"Happy Bday Kiks Mad love and many hugs @akiraakhtar."
Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Farhan Akhtar had opened up on how he had broken the news of his divorce to his kids. He had shared:
"Nothing is easy. Anything you tell your child which you think your child doesn't want to hear is never going to be easy. The thing that your child expects you and by you doing it, you will realise that this is what you expect from them. If you can be honest with your child, they are not dumb or stupid. They understand way more than you and I can imagine. They have a sense of energy on how their parents are feeling."
