In this showbiz world, you gain money, fame and love of many people, but what also comes along are the link-up rumours. One’s personal life becomes an open book and there is no second thought about that. Something like this happened with one of the most promising and super-talented actresses, Fatima Sana Sheikh. The actress who made her debut with Dangal in a dabang style has created her own niche in the Indian film industry. What came along with all the appreciation was her link-up rumours with co-star and senior artist, Aamir Khan.
Ever since Dangal went on floors and she signed another movie with Aamir named Thugs of Hindostan, her name has been linked up with him. Not just this, rumours also did the rounds that due to the increasing closeness between the two, Aamir’s wife, Kiran Rao is disturbed too. Though such buzz was all around, neither Aamir nor Fatima ever opened up and cleared the air about the same until now.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Fatima shared how she tackled such baseless news and much more. Fatima was quoted as saying, “It’s very weird. My mother keeps on watching TV and the other day she showed me ‘Your photo has come’ and I was like ‘Read the headline to know what’s written.’”
The Thugs of Hindostan actress further shared that she used to get disturbed by such rumours, but with time she has become used to it and knows well how to digest. Fatima stated, “But now, I do not feel the need to explain because I feel no matter what you do, people will talk about you.”
The Dangal star further added, “If someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘Listen, why do you think it is like this?’ If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it”.
For the ones who don’t know, Fatima and Aamir together worked for two films, first was a sports drama Dangal, which was a massive box office success and went on to make more than Rs 2000 crore worldwide. It is counted as one of the most successful Bollywood films ever. Then came their second movie together, Thugs of Hindostan, which was this year’s historical action-adventure, but couldn’t do well and is this year’s commercial disappointment.
On sharing her heartbreak as TOH tanked at the box office, Fatima stated, “Yeah, it hasn't done well. It is very heartbreaking. It is very sad because we all tried our best to make a good film. That's what we tried to do. But unfortunately, the film didn't work, people didn't like it. I'm just feeling very bad about this”.
This is part and parcel of being a public figure, right? We wish Fatima Sana Sheikh all the success and happiness in the world!
