Then the wait for the first pictures is followed by the wait for the intricate wedding details with the pictures and videos of the same. Similar is the case with our ‘just-married’ couple, Deepika and Ranveer. Recently, we brought you the details about how Bhavnanis welcomed their bahu into their family and what all happened at Deepika and Ranveer’s griha pravesh ceremony. Now, we have a closer look of newbie bride, Deepika Padukone’s Rs 20 lakh worth mangalsutra. Deepika and Ranveer left for their Bangalore reception on November 20, 2018 morning and we got a clear picture of Deepika’s simple and elegant mangalsutra.
According to Times Now Hindi, Deepika’s mangalsutra costs a whopping Rs 20 lakh owing to a solitaire in it. And apparently, Deepika has spent Rs 1 crore on her wedding jewellery. A source had then informed from the jewellery store where she went shopping, “We had decided to close the shop early. She spent around a crore of rupees within a matter of minutes and left.”
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding planner and the founder of The Wedding Design Company, Vandana Mohan posted on her Instagram account and wrote, “They looked unreal, for time stood still. The first glimpse of them was as though they had walked out from the realms of a historical land and towards their future together... During an interaction with Moneycontrol.com, Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding photographer, Errikos Andreou talked about the wedding and stated, “I have shot individually with Ranveer and Deepika a lot of times before. I was there in Italy to shoot two people who wanted to document their moment of love. The event was completely private and was like any other wedding where two people, who are madly in love with each other, tie the knot amidst people who love them and wish them well."
The Greek photographer further said, "Their celebrity status didn’t make their wedding any different from anyone else’s. I shot the two candidly as they celebrated their big moment. It was not like a professional assignment and I wasn’t given any instructions; there were no restrictions either. I was treated like a guest who had a camera and got some nice shots with it."
According to a report in DNA, Deepika’s in-laws had arranged griha pravesh ceremony as per the Sindhi rituals at their residence for their beloved bahu. The source shared, “The Bhavnanis had organised a traditional griha pravesh for their bahu as per Sindhi customs. Ranveer’s family welcomed Deepika with an aarti and played a few customary games, too. She stayed at their residence last night. Today, they will head to her Prabhadevi home.”
The source further added, “The newlyweds will stay in DP’s apartment till they get their new house ready. As of now, the wedding celebrations continue.
