Unaffected By Demonetisation, Karnataka Billionaire Is Spending Rs 500 Cr On His Daughter's Wedding

While the entire nation is facing cash crunch because of the latest financial reform, there is one person who seems to be totally unaffected with it. That person is the mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who was recently in news because of the extremely expensive wedding invite for his daughter, Brahmani’s wedding.

#1. As per the reports, the wedding will be a five-day affair, starting November 16.

#2. The wedding is going to take place in Bangalore Palace, which is being converted into a replica of Hampi. It’s a village in South Karnataka, which was earlier king Krishnadevaraya’s empire, Vijayanagara.

#3. The wedding sets are being created by some of Bollywood’s finest art directors.

#4. Giving some inside details of the wedding, a source was quoted by a portal as saying:

“Large display screens, free wi-fi hotspots, jimmy jib cameras, drone cameras and many more hi-tech equipment will be used during the wedding. Set designers who are the best in the industry have been hired to make Palace Grounds to look like heaven.”

#5. The wedding venue is said to be spread in an area of 36 acres, and it also has sets of bungalows made for the bride and the groom.

#6. A lot of Bollywood and south Indian film stars are expected to perform in this wedding.

#7. Over one lakh people are expected to attend the Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter’s wedding in Bangalore.

#8. As per a report by India Today, the wedding rituals will be performed by the priests from Tirupati Thirumala temple.

#9. There are believed to be more than 50 security personnel at the wedding venue, who are ensuring that the event stays away from the public glare.

#10. While some reports claim the cost of wedding to Rs. 200 crore, a few are claiming it to go as high as Rs. 500 crore.
