Gaurav Taneja was arrested by the Noida police as his fans caused chaos at at the metro station of Noida Sec-51 after his wife, Ritu Rathee booked an entire metro coach to celebrate his birthday.
YouTuber, Gaurav Taneja best known as 'Flying Beast', turned a year older on July 9, 2022, and his wife, Ritu Rathee planned a unique birthday celebration for him. She booked an entire metro coach in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida’s Sec-51 and informed their fans about the same on social media. However, things went wrong as over thousand of people gathered at the station to meet the couple, which led to a traffic jam.
Reportedly, Gaurav Taneja was arrested for the violation of Section 144 and 188 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. However, he was granted bail hours after his arrest by the Noida Police. The massive news took the internet by storm and the netizens started trolling the couple for their act. Moreover, social media is filled with so many memes and photographs from the same.

Now, Gaurav Taneja and his wife, Ritu Rathee issued a statement clearing their stance on the former's arrest. As per a report in ETimes, according to the statement, the couple said that a lot of misinformation regarding Gaurav's arrest have been doing rounds on the internet, thus, they wanted to clear the air around the same. The statement read as:
"A lot of unsavoury posts, photographs and memes are circulating on Social Media in relation to the incident that took place yesterday wherein Gaurav Taneja was briefly detained by the Noida Police. Hence, it was felt that we should set the record straight."
Further in the statement, the couple mentioned that Ritu wanted to give her husband, Gaurav, a surprise birthday party, which was to be hosted in four coaches of Noida Metro from Sector 51 Metro Station. The couple also said that the Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd had broadcasted their scheme to book metro coaches for celebrations, and revealed that he had all the permissions. They added:
"Nonetheless, the Noida Police proceeded to register a case under Sections 188 and 341 of IPC. As a result of the same, he was briefly detained and then released within a couple of hours. Needless to say, we would be pursuing an appropriate legal remedy."

Gaurav and his wife, Ritu also stated that neither their fans raise any objectionable slogans nor they harmed any property at the station. They added that they are overwhelmed by their fans' love and affection for them and mentioned that their fans make them feel that they are part of their family. They concluded:
“It is pertinent to mention here that these fans were not violent nor did they raise any objectionable slogans neither harmed any public property. Exemplary behaviour speaks volumes of the example the influencer couple has set for their fans. The fact that our fans look up to us and would congregate in large numbers to celebrate Gaurav's birthday would suggest that they feel that we are a part of their family. As a matter of fact, we are overwhelmed by their love and affection for us."
