Gauri Khan posted a picture standing outside 'Mannat' and refuted the rumours of diamond studded nameplate.
Shah Rukh Khan is a self-made man, who came to the city of dreams, Mumbai to make it big one day. Born in a middle-class family in Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan, just like any other struggler, came to the mayanagri and said that “I’ll rule this city one day.” And the universe conspired to make his dream come true. King Khan now rules not only the city but the entire world!
Besides the billions of fans, fame and fortune, Shah Rukh Khan’s house, Mannat, is the most prized possession of his life. Whosoever visits Mumbai, Mannat is a must-go-to-place not just to witness the huge mansion, but a hope to catch a glimpse of the actor. Everything related to Mannat becomes news and a few days back, it was reported that the nameplate of Mannat had diamonds studded on it.

And now, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and designer of Mannat’s interiors has refuted all the rumours. Posting a picture, while stylishly posing outside the main door of Mannat, Gauri revealed what exactly the nameplate is made of. Stating how the main door of a house should attract positive energy, Gauri penned:
“The main door of your home is the entry point for your family and friends. So the name plate attracts positive energy… we chose a transparent material with glass crystals that emit a positive, uplifting and calm vibe. #GauriKhanDesigns.”
Gauri Khan is a very renowned interior designer and has done the interiors of Mannat too. Speaking at an event in Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan shared that the lady of his house, Gauri never allows him to disrupt the design of their house. The actor also stated that he is only allowed to look after the technological appliances. In his words:
"In my house, most of the stuff that is bought for the house is obviously bought by the lady of the house, my wife Gauri. You are not allowed to disrupt the design in the house, because she is a wonderful designer herself. But one of the few things that I'm allowed to do because there is this understanding that maybe I know technology the best in the house."

Located on Bandstand, Shah Rukh Khan bought the heritage bungalow from Bai Khorshed Bhanu Sanjana Trust in 2001. For Vogue India’s Casa Vogue edition, Gauri Khan stated that Mannat came to her as a blank canvas that had let her grow and develop as an interior designer. Gauri Khan, along with architect-designer, Kaif Faquih laboured over the mansion for nearly a decade. According to the star wife, as their family grew and renovations and redesigns were made to suit the changing needs, it also shaped her design aesthetic.
