Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode embraced parenthood with the arrival of their twin babies on July 25, 2023. The newbie parents are super excited as their world will now revolve around their baby boy and baby girl. Recently, Gautam Rode talked about his wife, Pankhuri Awasthy's C-section delivery and how he was present in the operation theatre, and saw his babies coming into the world.
Gautam Rode was super emotional when he saw his kids for the first time, but he was also worried for his wife, Pankhuri Awasthy. Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Gautam shared that his wife underwent a C-section delivery, and would be getting discharged in four to five days. Gautam also expressed that they have not yet selected any names for their twins.

Further in the same interview, Gautam Rode recalled the scary time when Pankhuri Awasthy got false contractions when she was in her seventh month of pregnancy. The actor shared that he was worried that the babies do not arrive in the seventh month. He was quoted as saying:
"In the seventh month, she got false contractions, so that time was scary for us because we thought premature babies na hojaayen. But, she stretched it to 38 weeks, so that’s God’s blessing, and our kids are strong. Our wish of having a boy and a girl has been fulfilled."
Gautam further revealed that he was present inside the operation theatre with his wife, Pankhuri during her delivery. He revealed that he saw his babies taking their first breath. He recalled that the baby girl came out first and then about a minute later, the boy was born.

Pankhuri Awasthy announced that she was carrying twin babies during her baby shower. And the theme of the bash was dedicated to her twin babies. Pankhuri's baby shower had green decor with a giant board decorated with balloons. On it was written, "One plus one makes four times the fun."
Well, we cannot wait to see glimpses of Pankhuri and Gautam's twins!
