Second-time-mommy, Geeta Basra revealed how her hubby, Harbhajan Singh reacted when he held their baby boy for the first time and why they zeroed the name Jovan for him.
Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra are enjoying every moment of their parenthood journey with their kids, Hinaya Heer Plaha and Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. After tying the knot in 2016, the duo had embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their daughter, Hinaya.
On July 10, 2021, Geeta and Harbhajan had welcomed their second child, and Hinaya got promoted to a big sister with the arrival of her baby brother. To announce the news of being blessed with a baby boy, Harbhajan had taken to his IG handle and had shared a cute picture of two little blue shoes. Along with the picture, he had written, "Blessed with a baby boy. Shukar aa Tera maalka."

In an interview with Zoom Digital, the second-time-mommy, Geeta, revealed the reason behind naming their son, Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. Sharing details about the same, Geeta said, "I had selected the name when I was pregnant with Hinaya. At that time I had thought of having a boy. Bhajji (Harbhajan) had said what if it is a girl, atleast ladki ka name bhi soch le. I was like mujhe lagta hai ladka hi hoga. Phir ladki hui. This time we had a religious way of naming the child. I was ecstatic that we got the letter J and Jovan was selected. I do not know but this name was stuck with me since Hinaya was born."
Geeta further revealed her hubby, Harbhajan's reaction when he held his baby boy in his arms for the first time. Talking about his mixed emotions, Geeta stated, "With Harbhajan, he was extremely emotional, happy, excited and overwhelmed. Of course, he loves kids. For him, it was the most beautiful day ever. Of course, it was a beautiful moment. Any parent who is a parent again will feel it. It is a feeling you can't describe if you do not go it yourself."

On July 26, 2021, Geeta Basra had announced her baby boy's name. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a breathtakingly beautiful picture of her baby boy in the arms of his elder sister, Hinaya. In the picture, the brother-sister duo had looked nothing less than a dream. Along with the picture, Geeta had written, "Introducing HEER ka VEER... Jovan Veer Singh Plaha."
On July 12, 2021, the second-time mommy, Geeta Basra, had shared a lovely video in which a little white onesie was placed on a crib, and "Born in 2021, Baby Plaha" was written on it. Alongside it, Geeta had written, "A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold, a wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete", in the caption.

Geeta had announced the news of expecting their second child in March 2021.
