Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra are all set to become parents for the second time. In a recent interview, Geeta revealed the best quality of Harbhajan as a father.
Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh and Bollywood actress, Geeta Basra are on cloud nine as they are expecting their second child. The two had started their forever journey on October 29, 2015, in a big fat Punjabi wedding after a long courtship period. The who’s who of cricket, business, political and glamour world had attended their lavish wedding reception. On July 27, 2016, Harbhajan and Geeta had embraced parenthood for the first time and had welcomed their baby girl, Hinaya. On March 14, 2021, Harbhajan and Geeta had given a sweet surprise to all their fans by announcing their second pregnancy. Geeta had taken to her IG handle and had shared three pictures with her hubby, Harbhajan and daughter, Hinaya. In the first picture, the family was seen donning blue-coloured ensembles and Hinaaya was seen holding a black t-shirt with 'Soon to be big sister' written on it. In another picture, we spotted Hinaya hugging the baby bump of her mommy. Alongside the pictures, Geeta had written, "Coming soon. July 2021."
In an interview with The Times of India, Geeta Basra opened up about the best qualities of Harbhajan as a father. Revealing that he dotes on Hinaya and is a hands-on father, Geeta said, “He is an excellent father — extremely protective and caring. He likes to spend time as much time as possible with Hinaya. I would rate him eight on 10 as a father. I don’t think anyone is perfect. There’s always a space for improvement.”
On the occasion of Women’s Day, i.e., March 8, 2021, Harbhajan had taken to his IG handle and had shared an adorable wish for the two important women in his life. Sharing pictures of Geeta and Hinaya, Harbhajan had written, “You two are like a rainbow which add colours to my life. On October 29, 2020, former cricketer, Harbhajan Singh had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a mesmerisingly beautiful video from his wedding with actress, Geeta Basra. The couple had looked stunning on their wedding day in their respective attires. Along with the video, Harbhajan had written, "Wedding night Time flies yes it does 29/10/2015... 5 years togetherness @geetabasra #anniversary" in the caption. The doting wifey, Geeta had also shared the same video on her IG handle and had written, "Togetherness" followed by five red heart emoticons.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Harbhajan had talked about how important his daughter, Hinaya is for him. He was quoted as saying, "My daughter is growing up and I want to live every moment of it. I haven’t played (international) cricket in the last eight-nine months, but I can still get back to it. I can’t be there for my daughter when she is growing up. That won’t come back. I’ve been playing cricket for almost 18-19 years now. This (marriage and fatherhood) is happening to me for the first time. Now, it’s all about family. Whatever I’ve achieved so far in life and in the future is for them. My family is my world."
