Now, in an interview with SpotboyE, Geeta Basra shared that the last two years before Jovan's pregnancy were mentally challenging and traumatic for her. She also opened up about the biggest takeaway from that difficult phase. The Train actress said:
“My biggest takeaway is I feel like the 2 years that went by I know every time you conceive you get this fear because you have already gone through it. There is a fear it might happen again but I always believe that prayers and your positive mind are the only two things you need to get through this. Cry about it, vent out your emotions, it’s okay to feel low but then get on with it.”
Further in the conversation, Geeta also talked about the feeling of holding her baby boy, Jovan in her arms for the first time. Recalling the magical moment, she revealed that it was a miraculous feeling that can't be described in words and added:
“It was the most beautiful moment and miraculous feeling... It was like the most contented feeling.. like finally. I was like oh my God. He is actually here. I can't describe that moment in words. It was like a rainbow baby we get a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That was exactly what it was like, it was the struggle of 2 years. The moment you hold your baby in your arms, the whole universe that you have wished for falls right there.”

In between the birth of her two babies, Geeta Basra had gone through two miscarriages and had bravely talked about it. In an old interview with Pinkvilla, Geeta Basra had revealed why she had decided to speak about her miscarriage. She had said:
"I spoke about it because I realised how common it is. There are a lot of friends of mine who have gone through it, a lot of women have gone through it, and the best platform to talk about it is obviously social media.”
In the same interview, Geeta had further mentioned that it takes a toll on the woman dealing with it. Sharing how people think it is easy for celebrities, and thus, she had to talk about it, Geeta had continued:
“I realised that something like this where maybe being a celebrity they feel our life is so easy and that you just see the end result, that we have got this beautiful baby in our arms. But the whole journey towards that, how hard it is even for us to conceive sometimes. So the more we talk about it, it can give other women hope, and that’s what happened when I spoke about it.”
It was on July 26, 2021, when Geeta had shared a picture of her then-newborn son in the arms of his elder sister, Hinaya. In the caption, she had announced the name of her son, as Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. The caption could be read as:
"Introducing HEER ka VEER... Jovan Veer Singh Plaha."
