“A miscarriage is the worst period in a woman's life. Plus, miscarriages have become common. Our lifestyles are probably the reason. I felt I needed to talk to women that a miscarriage is not the end of the road. You cannot lose hope. For me, it was a struggle. But I never gave up. Harbhajan Singh and I didn't stop trying for a second baby."

Geeta Basra also talked about how her gynaecologist kept her positive as she was expecting a second baby just one or two months after her second miscarriage. Talking about the same, Geeta shared:

"He was very positive and that helped me to say to myself that it is going to happen. I didn't want to be negative. Yes, there is a certain amount of anxiety that again you shouldn't go through any trauma. Believe me, I was expecting my second baby, just one or two months after my second miscarriage. There is no such thing that you cannot try again until a certain time has elapsed. There is too much information on Google. I would like to say that we would do well to rather listen to our doctors. Doctors are professionals, they know our bodies and they know what they're talking about."

In another interview with Pinkvilla, Geeta had talked about her miscarriage and had called it to be the most traumatic time for any woman. She had said:

“I realised how important it is to talk about these things because it is common, and is a very traumatic time for a woman to go through, because it's a part of you. The moment you know you’re pregnant, probably 99 percent of women start planning for the future, the nine months - what’s going to happen, how you going to go about it, this beautiful bundle of joy that’s going to come in your arms - and when that moment happens, it’s the worst moment of your life, that you lose that little life inside you.”

For the unversed, Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra had tied the knot on October 29, 2015!
