Body hair, apart from that on the head, eyebrows and eyelashes is simply not considered acceptable, at least where grooming and aesthetics in grown-ups are concerned. Guys for that matter have lesser complications in life because they don’t have to be bothered about waxing their arms and legs or threading the eyebrows. A neat shave can always win the day for them; these days the stubble is also very much in fashion.

The females are often harrowed with the regular hair removal processes for arms, legs and armpits. Unwanted facial hair further aggravates the problem, especially in case of a bride-to-be who has to find out the best solutions to get rid of undesired hair growth. It’s all a part and parcel of looking good as well as feeling good always; more so during the courtship, wedding celebrations and of course, the Honeymoon.

Here, we would mainly talk about the facial hair and the various available means of removing them. The hair growth on the forehead, cheeks, chin and the upper lip region is because of hormones. Therefore, it differs from women to women. While some of them have completely flawless skin with no mark of short tawny unwanted hair, many can be found complaining about conspicuous hair on the cheeks or too thin and light eyebrows. Women, as they say, are very tough to please; even hormones don’t stand a chance!

Threading

It’s the best way to remove the hair on the eyebrows, forehead, upper lips, chin and cheeks and the effect lasts for at least 5 to 6 weeks. All the salons offer threading services and it is best done by a competent person only. It does not involve use of any chemicals, though it can get a bit painful. People with sensitive skin also complain about post-threading skin reddening and rashes, but these can be soothed with effective skin creams.

Depilatories (Hair removal Cream)

If you’re in a hurry and do not have time for visiting a salon for threading, then hair removal creams are your best bet. They break down the hair and you can wipe off the hair from your skin. Just make sure you use good quality cream with mild chemical composition so as to avoid skin rashes and burns. The effect of depilatories last for maximum two days.

Waxing

Skin experts advise against waxing for removing facial hair because it can lead to burns, scabs and extreme redness. Still, many spas and salons offer it as one of the ways to remove the hair from the face.

Laser Treatment

The methods discussed above provide only temporary relief from the problem of facial hair. For permanent removal, you can try either the laser treatment or the electrolysis. Laser treatment involves passing the laser beam through the hair follicles on the face so as to destroy the hair permanently. Laser treatments are carried out by experts at professional skin clinics and dermatology centers. And it does cost you a few thousands.
