Gippy Grewal revealed that his wife, Ravneet Kaur did three jobs and more to fund his music career while they were in Canada.
Gippy Grewal is one of the biggest names in the Punjabi industry. His acting skills and melodious voice have made everyone a fan of him. However, his path towards success in the Punjabi film and music industry was paved with sheer hard work and determination. Before he achieved fame and financial stability, he worked three jobs in Canada to fund his music career. His wife, Ravneet Kaur, also took up multiple jobs to support their shared dream.
Gippy Grewal's path towards success was not an easy one, the actor did multiple odd jobs to fund his music career and his wife, Ravneet, was equally supportive of him. In an interview, Gippy shared that he and his wife did multiple jobs to fund his musical career. He sold newspapers, made bricks and marbles and did several other odd jobs to be able to fund his music. Gippy further added:
"I used to do three jobs at one point. I did not use to earn a lot, and there are so many singers in Punjab that companies stopped investing and albums became expensive. And every artist would say that they're very talented, where will the music company invest? So that had become a huge problem. There was no concept of taking money from home, so I thought I have to earn it myself only."
Gippy added that his wife, Ravneet, had been his strongest support system throughout the journey. She also did three jobs to fund her husband's career and help their family sustain in Canada. Ravneet made sandwiches in Subway, cleaned plates and, mopped floors in a restaurant and drove him around to sell newspapers to earn extra bucks. In Gippy's words:
"So I started doing three jobs. I would drop off newspapers in the morning, then I would work for 8 to 9 hours at this factory where we would create bricks of marble-like material. We used to work with cement and it was a hard job. Then at night, I and my wife would do cleaning jobs-- mopping and clearing plates at food courts at Crystal mall in Vancouver. While I did my day job, my wife also made sandwiches at Subway. The other two jobs we both shared. She would drive while I would go and drop off newspapers in these boxes outside homes in the morning. But I used to enjoy doing all these jobs."
