Govinda was on his 'best behaviour' on set, reveals Nikkhil Advani

Govinda, who rose to the peak of success in his career during the 1990s, faced a rough patch in the late 2000s. In this context, Nikkhil Advani, who directed the actor in the multi-starrer film, Salaam-E-Ishq in 2007, mentioned that since the actor's fame was decreasing during those years, he had put up his best behaviour on the set and was working hard for his comeback. He elaborated:

"Govinda would ask me, 'How do you want this scene—Italian, Mughlai, Indian, Chinese?' He would put out a buffet of ideas, and I got him at a good time. He was at a very low at that point. He was shooting for Partner and Salaam-E-Ishq simultaneously, so he was behaving himself. He wanted to prove everyone wrong."
