Kashmera Shah said she would like to touch Govinda's feet to seek blessings and forgiveness at Arti's wedding, but the diva revealed that the superstar 'mamaji' didn't let her touch his feet.
Televsion starlet, Arti Singh tied the knot with the love of her life, Dipak Chauhan, on April 25, 2024, at the ISKCON temple. Her D-day was one of the most sought-after weddings recently, and people were especially looking out for Govinda’s attendance at the ceremony. For the uninitiated, Govinda and his wife, Sunita, were miffed with Arti’s elder brother, Krushna Abhishek, and her bhabi, Kashmera.
It all started in 2018 when Kashmera tweeted about people dancing for money. This controversial remark did not sit well with Sunita, as she thought it was aimed at her husband, Govinda. Things between the family soon turned ugly, and Govinda and Sunita cut ties with Krushna and Kashmera. However, the 8-year-long family feud was buried when Govinda attended Arti Singh's wedding.

Ever since the news of Arti's wedding came to the forefront, everyone anticipated whether Govinda would attend the ceremony. Talking about it, Kashmera shared that she would touch Govinda's feet and seek blessing if he came. However, in a recent conversation with the TOI, Kashmera shared that Govinda did not let her touch his feet, instead, he blessed her and hugged her kids. In her words:
"I bowed with a namaste, and he smiled back. I walked up to him and straightaway took him to the stage. I bent down to touch his feet, but he didn't let me, just like how elders stop you from bending down and bless you before that. He said, ‘Jeete raho, khush raho’. I bent to touch his feet. That is the apology. As a daughter-in-law, I had to do it. He hugged my kids, and that was it for me. We don't have any elder in the family other than him and he is my mama-sasur. I am so happy he blessed my kids."
Kashmera added that she was hoping for Govinda to attend Arti's wedding, as whatever fight the family had, it was between them, and Arti was not involved in it. She added that she received Govinda at the entrance and was very happy to see him in attendance. Kashmera further added:
"He was angry with Krushna and me, but not with Arti. I hoped he attended the ceremony for her, and I am glad he did. As luck would have it, I was the only one present at the entrance welcoming the guests when he entered, while Krushna was with Arti on stage. He and I were walking on opposite sides, and it felt surreal, to be honest."

Although Govinda and his son, Yashvardhan attended Arti's wedding, but his wife, Sunita, missed the ceremony. Talking about the same, Kashmera shared that Sunita's anger is justified. Kashmera also revealed that she would later solve the issues with Sunita, and the women of the family would sort the difference in their own way as they are both alpha females.
