Govinda arrived to administer his vote in the assembly election. He also gave an update about his health.
Govinda, born Govind Arun Ahuja, is an actor and politician. He has appeared in 150+ films in his career and is known for his satirical performances and dance skills. He was the leading actor throughout the 1990s and was last seen in Sikander Bharti's 2019 comedy-drama, Rangeela Raja.
Govinda had accidentally shot himself in the leg with a gun back in October, 2024. The actor was spotted outside a polling booth on November 20, 2024, to cast his vote in Mumbai during the ongoing Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Several videos and pictures of the actor have surfaced on social media since his appearance at the polling booth.
In a viral video on Instagram, Govinda was seen limping slightly as he walked out of the polling booth. The actor interacted with the media and smiled and waved at them. He also posed for pictures showing off his inked finger. When asked about his leg, Govinda gave the paps a smile and nodded. He said:
"Sab accha hai."

On November 17, 2024, Govinda was campaigning in Jalgaon when, due to his bad health, he had to shorten his stay. According to PTI, his campaign trail was for Mahayuti candidates. The actor was in Pachora, where he held a roadshow, which he stopped midway after feeling unwell.
Earlier, in October 2024, the news broke out that Govinda had accidentally shot himself and was rushed to the hospital. It was later disclosed that the actor was cleaning his revolver when he accidentally shot himself in the leg. Dr Ramesh Agarwal, the doctor who treated Govinda, shared details about the extent of the actor's injury. The doctor also confirmed that the Ek Aur Ek Gyraah star had received 8 to 10 stitches.
The Albela actor, Govinda, was discharged from the hospital a few days after the incident. He hosted a press conference right after he was cleared to leave the hospital and shared that he could not believe what had happened. The actor also shared that he was preparing to leave for Kolkata when he accidentally shot himself. Clearing the speculations, the actor said:
"Initially, I couldn’t believe it had happened. Thoda gehra lag gaya tha, jab laga tab vishwas nahi hua. Aisa laga ke yeh kya hua?"
