A video of Govinda opening up about the painful moment when he immersed his daughter's dead body has gone viral. In it, the actor recalled the emotions he felt when he saw a beggar woman with a child.
Actor, Govinda ruled the hearts of fans in the '90s, but eventually, Sunita Ahuja stole his heart. The couple has spent over 40 years together after tying the knot in 1987. Two years after they tied the knot, the couple was blessed with their first baby girl, Tina Ahuja, in 1989. Then, in 1997, Govinda and Sunita welcomed their baby boy, Yashvardhan Ahuja into the world. However, not everyone may know that the couple bore a second daughter after Tina, who died at just three months old due to medical complications. Recently, a video of Govinda talking about immersing his daughter's dead boy in the Narmada River went viral.
Recently, we stumbled upon a video of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja on a talk show, wherein the former recalled the heartwrenching time when he immersed his three-month-old daughter's dead body in the Narmada River. In the clip, the host asked Govinda what had been the toughest point in his and Sunita's married life, and the actor responded:
"Bitiya Rani ka jab hua tha… Woh toh bohot hi dukhi ghadi hogi kisi bhi parivaar ke liye. Meri beti, she was weak, prematured baby thi. Toh meri mummy ne mujhe aadesh diya ki Narmada Nadi hai Gujarat mein, wahan par jaa kar ke usko bahao."
Recalling the heartwrenching moment, Govinda said he followed his mother's instructions. The star took his baby girl's lifeless body to the river on the ninth day of Navratri. While doing so, he saw a woman with a baby in her arms on the street, knocking at windows to beg.
Govinda further stated that he had always believed in destiny, and he felt the same came into play when the beggar woman noticed the lifeless baby in his arms as she knocked the fifth time. Narrating what happened next, Govinda said:
"Toh usne apne bacche ko ese sameta aur mere taraf se bhaagi. Uss waqt mujhe esa laga ki me bhikari hu aur ye malkin hai. Toh jeevan hai, ye aapko stardom mein bhi bhikari se battar baat dikhata hai aur kabhi kabhi bohot hi gareebi aur laachaari mein badshah se badhkar cheeze dikhata hai."
Govinda's painful recollection and Sunita Ahuja's stoic expression as she tried to hold back tears touched the hearts of netizens. One user penned, "'Main bhikhari hu aur ye malkin hai.' Uffff the pain he must've experienced," while another netizen commented, "Dang, you can see Sunita is almost ready to burst into tears and holding them back. To be able to explain something like this calmly without bursting into tears must have been hard."

Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, once appeared on Timeout with Ankit and opened up about which of her kids was naughtier. She revealed that neither of them is naughty, but her son, Yash, was pampered as he was born after the death of her second daughter. Sunita further added:
"Yash is a little pampered because he is eight years younger than Tina. Before Yash, I had another daughter, too, but she was premature and didn't live. She was three months old when she expired; her lungs hadn't developed. That is why I brought up Yash in a cocoon because I was scared. Now I have to fulfil all his wishes, but it's fine."
