Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja revealed that she lost her daughter just three months after her birth due to medical complications.
Govinda has been married to Sunita Ahuja since 1987. The couple has known each other for more than 40 years and is still going strong. They welcomed their first daughter, Tina, in 1989, and a few years later, they embraced parenthood again with their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. However, Sunita recently made a shocking revelation about her daughter, who lived for only three months before she unfortunately passed away due to medical complications.
Superstar Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently appeared on Timeout with Ankit, where she said that at hime is the stricter parent as the actor is very lenient with the kids. When the host asked her who the naughtier one among the her kids, she revealed that neither of them are naughty, but her son, Yash, was pampered as he was born after the death of her second daughter. Sunita further added:
"Yash is a little pampered because he is eight years younger than Tina. Before Yash, I had another daughter, too, but she was premature and didn’t live. She was three months old when she expired; her lungs hadn’t developed. That is why I brought up Yash in a cocoon because I was scared. Now I have to fulfil all his wishes, but it’s fine.”
Sunita elaborated that her daughter was premature, and her lungs were not developed when she was born. The baby girl fought for her life more three months, but unfortunately, after that, she passed away. So, Yash was her miracle child, and she kept him in a cocoon and pampered him.

In the same interview, Sunita recalled the cultural differences between her and Govinda. She revealed she was from Bandra, a more modern area back in time. While Govinda lived in Virar. So, he used to dislike her wearing miniskirts and said that his mother wouldn't like it either. For this reason, she began to wear sarees for his mother. In her words:
"I went from wearing miniskirts to sarees. That's why my husband used to hate me. I would tell him, 'I'm from Bandra, you're from Virar, boss.' And he'd say, 'No, my mother won't like it.'"
Govinda entered showbiz with Love 86. He soon became popular with his impeccable comic timing, dancing style, and versatility as an actor. He starred in popular films like Raja Babu, Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Partner and more. He was last seen in Rangeela Raja, which was released in 2019. The actor later launched his YouTube channel in 2020.
