Hansika Motwani was once accused of taking hormonal injections to grow-up faster. Later, her mom refuted all such claims and talked about the dark phase.
Hansika Motwani is a popular Indian actress who first charmed the audience as a child artist on the television show, Shaka Laka Boom Boom. Her role in the Hrithik Roshan-starrer, Koi Mil Gaya, further solidified her place in the industry. However, when she made her debut as an adult in the film, Aap Kaa Surroor, in 2007, the viewers were shocked by her drastic physical transformation. Rumours about her appearance circulated, and some even accused her of taking hormonal injections.
In one of the episodes of her wedding drama series, Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama, the actress addressed claims of taking hormonal injections. The actress said that it is part and parcel of being a public figure where people will say and write a lot about you. But that does not determine you as an individual. In Hansika's words:
"This is the expense of being a celebrity. They wrote such crap when I was 21, you know what I am talking about… If I could have taken it that time, I can take it this time. Crap was written about you too, everyone wrote that I have taken injections to grow up. People said that my mum has given me injections, hormonal injections to grow up as a woman."

For the unversed, Mona Motwani is a dermatologist, and it was a huge gossip back in the day that she gave hormonal injections to her daughter so that she could grow up fast and join the entertainment industry. Mona Motwani further clarified:
"If that is true, then I must be richer than Tata, Birla, some millionaire. If that Hansika's then I would have said, 'Maine apni beti ko diya hai, tum bhi aao, aa kar apni haddi baddi karvao. What I am surprised about is that people" who write this, unke pass dimaag naam ki cheez nahi hoti hai kya. We are Punjabi people, our daughters shoot up between the age of 12 and 16."
Hormonal injections are injectable drugs pushed into the arm, leg, or hip. They are also called intramuscular or IM injections. Some types are given just under the skin of the abdomen. These drugs are used to treat several ailments like breast cancer, but when used on a teen's body, it helps their growth hormones to rapidly mature.
