Hansika Motwani and her husband, Sohael Khaturiya have documented their wedding in a webseries titled, Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama that airs on the popular OTT platform, Hotstar. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot in a royal manner in Jaipur on December 4, 2022. As the series garners a lot of attention, we come across a startling moment when Hansika’s mom, Mona Motwani, demands a hefty fine from the ladkewaale when they turn up late for the wedding festivities.

Mona Motwani demanded Rs. 5 lakhs per minute of delay

In the recent episode of the webseries, Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama, we find that the bride, Hansika Motwani’s mother, Mona Motwani getting slightly upset about the habit of the ladkewaale turning up late for every wedding festivity of her daughter. Thereafter, she dialled up Hansika’s groom-to-be, Sohael’s mother and complained to them about their tardiness. She also told her that if they were to turn up late for the wedding, she would be charging a fine of Rs. 5 lakhs per minute of delay. In her words:

“I have a humble request to make. Kathurias are people who are very late and Motwani’s are very punctual. If you come late today, you must pay me Rs 5 lakh for every minute of delay. I make this request because the inauspicious hour is between 4:30 p.m to 6 p.m. So I request if you could come a little early.”

Hansika Motwani recalled the moment she saw her hubby, Sohael at the wedding mandap

In the same episode, we also came across a moment when Hansika Motwani opened up on her first feeling once she saw her then-groom, Sohael waiting at the wedding altar. Recalling the moment, Hansika elaborated on how it was the most surreal feeling she ever had. In her words:

“It was so surreal. It hit me so hard and I was like I am getting married to the love of my life. It was the best feeling. Things are getting real. I am getting married. I don’t know how to explain it. And it was just something so different and I broke down.”

Hansika and Sohael’s first Holi post marriage

Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya celebrated their first Holi post-marriage on March 7, 2023. The day was exceedingly special for the newlywed couple, and they spent it most specially along with their family. Taking to her IG stories, Hansika shared some candid snaps from her homely Holi celebration. In the picture, we spotted Sohael and Hansika along with the latter’s mom, Mona Motwani and her brother, Prashant Motwani. The new bride, Hansika looked uber cool in a black shirt and reflectors, while her hubby, Sohael complemented her in a white printed shirt and sunglasses.

When Hansika reacted on getting trolled for filming her wedding into a show

Hansika’s decision to document her wedding video into a full-scale OTT show received mixed reactions from the audience. While her fans supported her for sharing a glimpse of such an important day of her life, others considered it a cheap publicity stunt and trolled the actress. However, in an interview with Indian Express, Hansika reacted to such criticism and cleared her stance.
