Life is never the same. When some days it is a bright sunny day, on other days, you can find yourself being surrounded by the clouds of sadness. Just when we were enjoying the happy times at the Pandya household, the biggest shock has hit the family. While the sun was shining the brightest on them, a thundershock has disturbed the family to the utter core. Hardik and Krunal have often talked about their parents’ contribution in making them what they are now and supporting them in their career as professional cricketers. Hardik has many times revealed that his father, Himanshu Pandya had shut his business to support his sons’ dreams. Himanshu ji was running a small car finance business in Surat, but he had shut it down and had moved to Vadodara to help his sons get better training facilities and refine their cricketing skills. He had then enrolled Hardik and Krunal to Kiran More’s cricket academy in Vadodara, where the two brothers had garnered all the attention. Hardik Pandya and his brother, Krunal Pandya are in utter grieve as on Saturday morning, i.e., January 16, 2020, they lost their father, Himanshu Pandya to cardiac arrest. Hardik had returned to India last month from Australia and was treating his back and spending time with his wife, Natasa Stankovic and son, Agastya. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya has left the bio bubble created for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Vadodara to be with his family in the testing times. Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli took to his Twitter handle to offer his condolence and wrote, "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two. @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24."

On the occasion of Father’s Day 2020, both Hardik and Krunal had penned their heartfelt feelings for their father, Himanshu Pandya. Hardik had shared a then-vs-now picture on his IG handle with his father and brother. Mentioning how despite the change in times, his father’s love and support was constant, he had written, “Amazing how time flies and the one thing that remains constant is the love and support of your father. Thank you Papa for all the sacrifices you have made for us. I will forever be grateful and will try and do whatever I can to keep a smile on your face! On the other hand, Krunal had shared two pictures, one with his father and the second one with both his father and brother, Hardik in frame on his IG handle. Sharing the two pictures, Krunal had thanked his father for allowing them to follow their dreams and being with them during the good and bad times. He had written, “Happy Father’s Day to the man who’s always backed Hardik and me to follow our dreams without thinking of his own. Thank you for always being there for us in the good and bad times. You‘ve taught us to always believe in ourselves and never give up. Hope we can continue to make you proud.
